Stafia approaches fictional themes with a focus on the spiritual element, reflecting on misanthropy, ascension, alternate realities and beings, but also irreverence and blasphemy, drawing inspiration from universes and lyrical themes often used by H.P. Lovecraft, Hidetaka Miyazaki, Kentaro Miura and J.R.R Tolkien.

DRAGONBREED RELEASE LYRIC VIDEO "SINISTER OMEN"

On 22 April, Dragonbreed released their debut album "Necrohedron", a band whose classic 90s-inspired melodic death metal is not only a mix-up of Suidakra and Graveworm. While the previously released video clip for "The Undying" shows the band during their studio recordings, the band now follows up with another video, "Sinister Omen", which pays tribute to the "silent" sixth band member, so to speak, and puts the lyrics as well as the artwork of the album in the foreground. Both come from the creative mind of cover artist Kris Verwimp, who was able to realize a concept story with this album, which had been slumbering in his drawer for a long time and fitted Dragonbreed like a glove. Sinister Omen" is now available on the MDD YouTube channel. Of course, the album is also available everywhere where there is good music.

ANCESTHOR's one of them. And what an amazing band it is too! The band plays a forceful technical thrash, very intense and varied as if some celestial being had fun mixing the DNA of bands such as DEMOLITION HAMMER, VIO-LENCE, VEKTOR and the almighty EXHUMER in one gigantic tech thrash experiment... The end result is a band churning out killer riffs after killer riffs with an obvious facility in writing memorable songs while still making them intricate enough to challenge the legions of tech heads worshiping CORONER and other thrash gods of the technical metal realm. This album was first released in 2013 with a slight variation of the front cover and different song titles. The band went on re-recording the whole album in 2018 and the production is killer from A to Z. So why nobody did see this diamond in the rough earlier? No clue is available at the moment but rest assured, ANCESTHOR is one of these bands that grows on you musically and won't let you go... lucky bastards. This album is coming out on CD through RIPRIDE and is including the killer Repka front cover.

Stoner rock band DUST PROPHET will release their new single "When the Axe Falls" on June 10th, 2022. The single is from their upcoming album One Last Look Upon the Sky which will be out later this year.

Frontman Otto Kinzel comments:

"Musically When the Axe Falls is another song our bassist Sarah Wappler came up with. She is our primary songwriter and “Harvester of Riffs” as we like to say. She wrote the primary riffs you hear in the verse and chorus. From there as a band, we jammed on it and fleshed out the arrangements and structure.

Lyrically, the song is about the infamous Axeman of New Orleans, an unidentified serial killer from the early 1900’s. He was active from 1919-19 and killed 6 people. One of his peculiarities was that he sent a letter to the local press and demanded that all the residents in NOLA needed to play jazz music loudly at night from their homes. If they did that, he wouldn’t commit any murders. Hence the line in the chorus “To Save Your Life I need to Hear the Sound I Crave”. True to his word, there were no murders that night.

I’m a huge fan of true crime. It influences a lot of my lyrics, and I’m particularly interested in unsolved “cold” cases.

“Red Death Masquerade” is here! Like the horrid nascent vampire plague it depicts, The Sixth Chamber’s new single is already out, leading a foray into the darkest depths of antiquarian New Orleans vampire lore.

The new video stars British vampire/fetish queen and gothic model sensation Dani Divine as she is stalked throughout the French Quarter and the eldritch cemeteries of New Orleans by a malignant vampiric fiend (played by extreme gothic couture and headpiece designer Loretta Vampz) in a lustful, blood-soaked tale of woe and seduction. Will her night of pleasure and prurient indulgence end in eternal horror and damnation? Are her fears real or simply her imagination?

Dani Divine has been a featured headlining burlesque performer and poster model for the Endless Night Vampire Ball events for the past few years along with performing fire spinning at Bloodstock Open Air Festival and other major events. She was also featured in the October 29, 2020 Rolling Stone article about the Vampire Ball and is an internationally known model and cover girl.

In an eerie twist of synchronicity, the “Red Death Masquerade” music video was filmed throughout the day on December 11th in New Orleans, at the exact day and time of famed New Orleans vampire literary giant Anne Rice’s death….in the exact cemetery that she would subsequently be buried in - Metairie Cemetery.

The video was directed by Mark Newton, who has worked in various roles on numerous film productions including Danzig’s Verotika; Timecrafters: The Treasure of Pirate’s Cove (starring Malcolm McDowell); and Death Rising.

The Sixth Chamber combines retro gothic metal, gothic rock and epic doom and has been a perpetual fixture on the Los Angeles music scene for the past 20 years, remaining steadfast and unyielding in its gloom.

In addition to being an extravagant designer of gothic and Dia De Los Muertos headpieces and costumes, Loretta Vampz was cast as a werewolf in the new Renfield film starring Nicholas Cage, filming has been underway in New Orleans.
