The ‘Disappointment’ album is mournful, scornful, grim, heavy, swinging on a back beat, bleak, defiant, and is not what you were expecting.

"Luminous (Luminosity Remasters) are remasters from the metal tracks of my first album.
I've wanted to revisit and remaster these for a while, and here it is for free...
I have tried to keep the spirit and rawness of the original, no parts have been replaced apart from a drum overhall. It is completely true to the original sound, idea and concept."
Original notes:
Luminosity is about being or having the feeling of being trapped and finding the hope to endue though light. In this release many themes are interwoven creating a sense of dread and confinement in the forms of chains, the loss of light and hope and the sense of coming ever so closer to the edge in 'Cascadia'. The ambient tracks painting the atmosphere in a motion of falling and cascading down while small signs of hope still remain in parts of 'The Chains Are Broken'.
Yet it is ultimately up to the listener how the tracks and themes are interpreted.
Recorded through the first half of 2021.
Original album released May 20, 2021.
Now reforged in the violet branches and fires...

Swedish death metal pioneers DISMEMBER are proud to announce that as of today the compilation The Complete Demos (1988-1990) as well as the rare 1991 master of their classic debut, Like An Everflowing Stream, are finally available on streaming services.
In 2022, DISMEMBER began to relaunch their complete catalogue and this mission continues in 2023! The newest entry is a carefully restored collection of their earliest works titled The Complete Demos (1988-1990). This release was remastered by Patrick W. Engel from new tape transfers by Nicola Costantini (‘Encyclopedia Of Svensk Döds Metall’), and showcases the early days in the band’s evolution culminating in the infamous Reborn in Blasphemy demo which initiated the group’s career with Nuclear Blast Records.
In addition, Nuclear Blast and DISMEMBER are happy to release the rare June 1991 master of the band's debut album, Like An Everflowing Stream, which due to its higher dynamic range is considered to be the superior sounding version of the recording. Until now it had only been available on one particular CD pressing from 1991, but an old copy was unearthed while restoring the group’s back catalogue, so it can finally be made available to a wider audience. Enjoy it in all its gory glory!

About DISMEMBER:
Between 1988 and 2011 DISMEMBER earned a notorious reputation as the “Motörhead (version) of death metal”, through eight classic albums and furious live shows around the globe. The band was formed by Robert Sennebäck, David Blomqvist and Fred Estby in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1988 and has long since been regarded as one of the originators of the trademark Swedish death metal sound, next to other pioneering bands such as ENTOMBED, GRAVE and UNLEASHED. DISMEMBER recorded a couple of self-released demos before their 1990 demo cassette, Reborn In Blasphemy, with Matti Kärki on vocals and ENTOMBED's Nicke Andersson taking over most lead guitar parts, got picked up for a wider release by NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS. In 1991, their first full-length, Like An Everflowing Stream (Nuclear Blast Records), saw the light of day, which was recorded by Thomas Skogsberg at the now legendary Sunlight Studios, and featured Richard Cabeza (UNANIMATED) on bass. DISMEMBER released their acclaimed sophomore album, Indecent & Obscene, in 1993, which to this day remains their most successful output. Three more albums would follow on NUCLEAR BLAST, Massive Killing Capacity (1995), Death Metal (1997) and Hate Campaign (2000), until the band decided to switch labels. They released two more albums, Where Ironcrosses Grow (2004, Karmageddon Records) and The God That Never Was (2006, Regain) before Fred Estby announced his departure for family reasons in 2007. Their last album, Dismember, followed in 2008 and the band officially broke up in 2011.After an eight-year hiatus, the band's original line-up reunited for a 30th anniversary gig at Scandinavia Death Fest in October 2019, performing together for the first time in over 20 years.
