MISANTHROPIC AGGRESSION PREMIERE NEW SONG "A.S.S. III - THE BORDERLAND WARS"

Misanthropic Aggression are set to release their full-length debut album, Insect Politics, through Boris Records. The album will be available exclusively on translucent 12" red vinyl LP, as well as digital, format on October 15.
This offering of crust-tinged Black/Death Metal comes on the tail of 2020’s dual releases of the “Alcoholic Polyneuropathic Freaks in Hell” single and the COVID-19 Reset EP cassette, also released by Boris Records. The new album contains 12 all-new tracks mastered by Damian Herring.

An introduction to the album from the band:
"We are more than pleased to finally be releasing the album of Insect Politics. The vision that ultimately became this recording was initially conceived in early 2020 immediately after production wrapped up on the 'Alcoholic Polyneuropathic Freaks in Hell' single. It feels almost an eternity ago that these events came to pass, with a global pandemic descending upon us and completely upheaving the state of the band, as well as the numerous life events that followed.
The one constant in this time for Chris [T. Hammer] and Jake [Benedict], as our planned tour evaporated and local gigs dried up, was the prospect of recording the songs for release in our very first full-length. The actual composition of the tracks seems almost a blur, with three of the first songs written occurring in a matter of months in the early stages of the pandemic and being recorded and mixed by mid-2021, and the remainder of the songs being composed by late 2021.
However, the production to finish recording that last set of songs proved a major challenge, as we set out to create our most ambitious and uncompromising structures yet. What resulted exceeded even our own expectations and initial vision. As we wrapped up post-production, both of us noted that this album truly represents an ending: a conclusion of what we initially set out to do in 2017, which was to marry our artistic influences — the Celtic Frosts and the Graves and the His Heroes are Gone and the Morbid Angels… and the Impetigos… — into a cohesive and novel expression which was singular, sharp, and pointed in its rebellion against the wrongs of humanity, and simultaneously broad in its footprint, sonic approach, and modes of worship. But, every ending is also a beginning, and we also realized that selections from this album contain the blueprint for the next era of the band. The assault will continue…."

SLEEPLESS are set to release Through Endless Black, their second full-length album, on October 31! The album will be available on vinyl and digital formats through Necromantic Press Records. The CD version will be released on Metal Warrior Records.
Soon after the release of critically acclaimed, 2022 full-length debut album, Host Desecration, writing team Eric Sexton-Dorsett and Kevin Hahn dug in deep with a single minded purpose: to create a world class metal album that shows exactly what SLEEPLESS is all about! Through Endless Black is just that! The album leans into the band's Trad Metal roots, infused with the technical flourishes and spashes of Doom that collectively create the SLEEPLESS sound! The development of 'The Master Is Inside' was a meticulous and intense process. From the initial concept to the final production, every aspect of the music was carefully managed. The songwriting and composition phases aimed to blend power and finesse, creating tracks that lead the forefront of innovative heavy metal. Every note was carefully thought out, ensuring that the final album is both cohesive and impactful.
Experimentation played an important role in shaping the album's sound. A bottleneck guitar was used, synths were incorporated for atmospheric depth, and choirs were added to give the songs an epic feel. Unconventional sounds like wind, trains, spaceships, and cannons, and other surprises were included to create vivid imagery and enhance the storytelling. Each detail was chosen with care to make the music rich and immersive.
"The Master Is Inside" delves deep, exploring themes of self-discovery and societal critique through powerful storytelling. Danjon's introspective lyrics resonate with raw honesty, urging listeners to confront their inner demons and the complexities of the world around them.
The album's digital release date is 18th October 2024.

Christophe Danjon is the creative force behind Mystyc Blade. A self-taught musician, Christophe developed his distinctive style early on, focusing on instrumental music. His pursuit of excellence led him to the Music Academy International (MAI) in Nancy, where he honed his skills further. After graduating, Christophe seized notable opportunities, including opening for Angra and Calvin Russell.
As a guitar and vocal instructor, Christophe shared his expertise while perfecting his craft and composing two orchestral pieces, showcasing his versatility. Taking full control of his career, he composes all the music for Mystyc Blade, blending power and finesse to create ambitious and memorable compositions. His music delves into emotional and psychological depths, enriching his powerful performances.

"If someone had told me 15 years ago that the main themes of my most sincere album will be nostalgia and homesickness, I wouldn’t take this seriously – but fate, it seems, has a very peculiar sense of humor. The Diary was born as an attempt to rethink the loss of literally everything and to find at least some solid ground under my feet. Usually, when we evaluate the artist’s professionalism and craftsmanship, we use his ability to express (or imitate – depends on how you look at it) emotions as a main criterion – I, in case of The Diary, tried to make the opposite and to sound as detached and contemplative as possible – and still, when I listen to this album, I cannot get rid of the feeling that I let out too much.
Letters From The Past is clearly one of the centerpieces of the album and it is the only song that contains a glimmer of hope in it. It was also a serious challenge to our video production team (Olga Kann and Alex Rabets) to visualize its essence (editing of existing memories after accumulation of new data), so it is a very complex and multilayered work – not many will get it (and it is completely fine) but those who will, will definitely enjoy it and return to it more than once.
After the completion and release of The Diary I don’t really feel like writing new songs (as I said – I’ve already let out too much), but I feel a strong urge to perform these tracks live, so, despite the obvious difficulty of our situation, we have big plans of returning to the stage. Hope to see you at the festivals next season!"
