PHEAR RELEASE NEW LYRIC VIDEO: "NEW WORLD ERROR"

PRESS RELEASE:

Canadian power thrashers PHEAR have a new lyric video to reign in the "New World Error". The track is off their second full-length album "Save Our Souls", which was unleashed this past February from Golden Robot Records.

"New World Error" is a musical and lyrical statement on all the terrible atrocities going on in the world today.

"Humans are sometimes the plague of humanity." adds the band.

Watch and listen to "New World Error" via its premiere on MetalAddicts HERE.

Produced, mixed, and mastered by Jon Howard (Threat Signal), Phear's sophomore album "Save Our Souls" can be best described as their heaviest offering to date and follows the award-winning album “Instanitarium” (2019), and the critically acclaimed EP “The Curse Lives On” (2020).

Extremely passionate, and driven, along with their arena-caliber sound, PHEAR is always thinking of new ways to entertain its fans, and "Save Our Souls" is no exception. Mostly written during the dark times of COVID-19, the record has taken four years to complete. Led by Patrick Mulock and producer Jon Howard in the studio, each musician was pushed hard to get the best out of each of them and they delivered.

"We had a lot of time to craft these songs. We didn’t have any time restraints. We would go into the studio and do three songs at a time. We were very excited to work with Jon Howard (Threat Signal) again. Jon is the sixth member of Phear. The studio experience was great as we fed off each other's ideas. We pushed each other to get the best performances we could. There are NO FILLERS here. Seven String guitars have played a big part in this. Our sound has grown. The bass guitar on this album is HUGE! The drumming from Mike Harshaw was also very aggressive. If you were to ask me now… This is the heaviest Phear has ever been… for now lol!" adds Mulock.

A listening experience of thrash, prog, and classic metal elements, PHEAR offers a strong balance from infectious choruses to melodic and growling vocals for true heavy metal nostalgia. Their two previous singles, the album's title track and "Snake" are sure to make fans throw up their hail horns and headbang with a sore neck. Plus the band offers up their cover version of Nevermore's "Narcosynthesis".

PHEAR features Patrick Mulock (Lead Vocals) (Eidolon, Rampage), Pat Rogers (Lead & Rhythm Guitars) (Profaner- 2016 Wacken Metal Battle Canada Champions), Alex Zubair (Lead & Rhythm Guitars) (Burn to Black, Nadar Sadek, Iomair, Nephelium), Andrew Suarez (Drums) (Fatality, The Slyde - 2023 Wacken Metal Battle Canada Champions) and Chris Boshis (Bass) (Conflicted).

Throughout their existence, PHEAR has had the honour of opening for German metal legend UDO DIRSCHNEIFER, THE DEAD DAISIES, and STRYPER, along with performing on a pre-show for icons and heroes IRON MAIDEN in 2019 in Toronto at Budweiser Stage.

Recommended for fans of Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Judas Priest, Dream Theater (prog elements), and Metallica, PHEAR's latest album "Save Our Souls", released on February 13th, 2025, is available from Golden Robot Records at the following link (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon) - https://orcd.co/save-our-souls

SUN BELOW RELEASE NEW SINGLE: "MAMMOTH´S TUNDRA"

PRESS RELEASE:

SUN BELOW, the renowned heavy stoner/doom power trio celebrated for their electrifying Sativa rock, proudly announces the release of their latest single, "Mammoth’s Tundra," available now. This new track marks a significant addition to their distinguished musical collection.

"Mammoth’s Tundra" resonates with the deep echoes of an ancient past, born during the creative burst of the Inter Terra Solis split sessions. Deviating from the cosmic themes of previous works, this heavier, more aggressive sound captures the essence of a resurrected woolly mammoth roaming the northern tundra. Inspired by the speculative science of resurrecting extinct species, the song contemplates the potentially chaotic consequences of such actions gone awry.

The composition begins with a deliberate pace, reflecting the mammoth's slow trek across the harsh landscape, escalating into a powerful surge of intense guitars and booming drums as the creature asserts its dominance.

Originally recorded in January 2023, "Mammoth’s Tundra" has evolved through numerous live performances, each adding a layer of visceral energy. Following today's release, the band intends to debut in the coming weeks a special live session video from November 2024 at Primal Note Studios, enriched with dynamic visuals by Strange Matter Productions, capturing SUN BELOW's raw live energy.

SUN BELOW comprises Jason Craig on guitars and vocals, Liam “Acid Goblin” Gray on bass, and Will Adams on drums. Known for merging doom, fuzz, and explosive energy, the trio invites listeners into the profound depths of their musical journey.

Following their 2023 split album Inter Terra Solis, SUN BELOW continues to challenge the confines of doom rock with themes that stretch from cosmic fate to time-space manipulation. "Mammoth’s Tundra" is more than a song; it's an explosive blend of history, science, and metal.

About SUN BELOW:

SUN BELOW is a stoner/doom trio from Hamilton, Ontario, renowned for their unique blend of heavy, groove-laden music they call "Sativa rock." This distinctive sound combines the deep heaviness of doom metal with the uplifting energy of psychedelic rock, creating immersive sonic experiences that resonate with audiences.

The band consists of Jason Craig on guitars and vocals, Liam “Acid Goblin” Gray on bass, and Will Adams on drums. Together, they deliver long, burning jams that pay homage to the altar of tone, riffs, and smoke—central elements to SUN BELOW's musical identity.

Their mission is to merge the raw power of classic rock with the sonic depth of modern doom while infusing their music with psychedelic elements that invite listeners to fully experience each track. Their themes range from cosmic fate to time travel and alternate futures, with each song serving as both a narrative and musical journey.

SUN BELOW's notable works include the acclaimed split album Inter Terra Solis, which showcases their ability to blend complex narratives with expansive soundscapes. Their live performances are known for their seismic energy and technical prowess, further cementing their reputation as not just musicians, but as modern-day sonic alchemists.

As SUN BELOW continues to explore new musical territories and refine their dynamic approach to music, they invite fans to join them in celebrating the communal spirit of heavy, riff-driven rock and the transformative power of music.

Sole member and founder, Alex Haddad, shared his thoughts about Keys to the Palace: "This album was ten plus years in the making. A lot of the material here actually precedes that of the two previous releases. Completing this record means giving closure to this era of Dessiderium that has spanned across my twenties, and I see it as a well suited final chapter to this period. The two previous albums, Shadow Burn and Aria, provided no happy ending. They were both about defeat in their own way. Keys to the Palace reaches for triumph. This is an album about time travel that explores the polarity between past and future, innocence and disillusion, faith and despair, and adolescence and adulthood."

EXTERMINATUS RELEASE NEW SINGLE: "COSMIC DISTURBANCE"

PRESS RELEASE:

Pioneers of technical death metal, EXTERMINATUS, are thrilled to announce the release of "Cosmic Disturbance," the lead single off their upcoming album Echoes From A Distant Star Part 1. Accompanied by a visually striking music video, "Cosmic Disturbance" is now available across all major streaming platforms.

"Cosmic Disturbance" sets the tone with its ominous bass intro, serving as the calm before the storm. This track quickly escalates into a sonic onslaught of driving drums and frenzied guitar work, featuring heavy, articulate play with bursts of trem picking and blast beats. The music captures a feeling of urgent intensity, mirroring the song's narrative content and culminating in an outro that demands repeated listens.

Uniquely positioned as the opening track of the album, "Cosmic Disturbance" also marks the narrative’s end, exploring the cyclical and holographic nature of our universe. The song thrusts listeners into the perspective of the protagonist who awakens in an alien realm, outside of time and space. As he witnesses the big bang and the subsequent evolution of the universe, he comes to a chilling realization about his existence and the simulated reality governed by an infinite computer, where the speed of causality is capped by the speed of light.

Echoes From A Distant Star Part 1, set for release on April 18, 2025, marks a bold continuation of EXTERMINATUS's journey into the realms of technical death metal with a cosmic twist. This album, meticulously crafted over years, delves deep into the themes of creation, the cyclical nature of existence, and the profound implications of a universe more holographic than previously imagined. Through a blend of ferocious riffs, complex drum patterns, and atmospheric storytelling, EXTERMINATUS not only explores the technical boundaries of their music but also crafts a narrative that challenges the listener's perception of time and reality. The album promises to be a significant milestone in their discography, offering an intense auditory experience that encapsulates the band's evolution and their philosophical inquiries into the cosmos.

About EXTERMINATUS:

Since their formation in 2013, EXTERMINATUS has evolved into a dominant force within the technical death metal scene. Their journey began with the debut album Veni Vidi Vici, which immediately set the tone for their aggressive style characterized by rapid-fire riffs, relentless drumming, and devastating vocals. By the time their second album Laniakea was released in 2018, EXTERMINATUS had firmly established themselves not just as a project but as a mainstay, pushing the boundaries of technical death metal.

The current lineup features the dual-guitar attack of Tabreez Azad and Elia Baghbaniyan, combined with the unstoppable rhythm section of Max Sepulveda and Lucas Abreu, and the ferocious lead vocals of Luka Bresan. This potent combination creates a sound that is both brutally precise and expansively atmospheric, drawing comparisons to luminaries like Aeon, Decapitated, and The Faceless, yet with a distinct identity that is entirely their own.

Thematically, EXTERMINATUS ventures into the cosmic unknown, exploring vast astronomical themes and the fundamental forces of the universe. Their narratives delve into complex physical phenomena and the chilling mysteries of space, a theme that resonates deeply in their upcoming release, Echoes From A Distant Star Part 1, scheduled for release on April 18, 2025. This album promises to fuse their signature technical complexity with a hauntingly eerie cosmic atmosphere.

EXTERMINATUS's impact on the scene is underscored by their dynamic live performances, highlighted by appearances at festivals such as Armstrong Metalfest and Loud As Hell Festival. Collaborations with notable figures like Andrew Baena, Dean Lamb, and Mike Greenwood have further solidified their reputation, expanding their influence and showcasing their ability to innovate within the genre.

With their intricate compositions, powerful performances, and forward-thinking approach, EXTERMINATUS not only captivates their audience but also promises a continual evolution. As they prepare to release Echoes From A Distant Star Part 1, they stand at the forefront of technical death metal, ready to explore new sonic territories and deepen their exploration of the cosmos.

WEBB OF DECEIT RELEASE NEW SINGLE: "IN MY WAKE"

PRESS RELEASE:

Webb Of Deceit Unleashes Ferocious New Single "In My Wake" Featuring Raven & Jason Aaron Wood

West Tennessee, USA – March 14, 2025 – Webb Of Deceit returns with a searing new single, "In My Wake," unleashing a sonic onslaught that blends dark atmospheric intensity with technical precision. This latest track, featuring Raven Moonla on the haunting intro and Jason Aaron Wood delivering blistering lead guitar work, cements the band's presence as a force to be reckoned with in the underground metal scene. Mixed and mastered by Zach Moonshine of Metal Devastation Radio, "In My Wake" delivers a relentless auditory assault that fans of extreme metal won’t want to miss.

A Dark and Fiery Descent

"In My Wake" takes listeners on a journey through apocalyptic imagery and unrelenting devastation. The track’s haunting introduction, led by Raven Moonla, sets the stage for an explosive wave of furious riffing and powerful vocal delivery. The intro takes listeners back to where it all began during the Satanic Panic of the first Tennessee Metal Devastation Music Fest, evoking the eerie atmosphere of a time when metal was both feared and revered. Jason Aaron Wood’s lead guitar work injects an electrifying energy, enhancing the song’s infernal narrative of destruction, transformation, and ultimate reckoning.

Lyrically, "In My Wake" paints a chilling picture of annihilation and rebirth through fire, carried by lines such as:

"Burn my life as we dance into the torment, we've been set free...

I've become the light that turns all into ashes that stand in my wake..."

This track is a testament to Webb Of Deceit’s ability to craft music that is both musically intricate and thematically gripping.

Following the critically acclaimed Evil In Progress , Webb Of Deceit continues to push boundaries, delivering raw power with technical finesse. With In My Wake , Carl Webb, the mastermind behind the project, showcases his unrelenting vision and ability to fuse intensity with melody in a way that leaves an unforgettable mark on listeners.

TUNDRA RELEASE "ETERNAL"

PRESS RELEASE:

TUNDRA - ETERNAL

LABEL: ROTTWEILER RECORDS

RELEASE DATE: APRIL 4th 2025

Formed in Topeka, Kansas in 2019, Tundra are a band that bring together the deathcore and metalcore genres and create something unique from the resulting elixir of riffs, heaviness, emotion and power. In 2020 they self released an album and an EP, beginning to build a name for themselves on their local scene and singles followed in the next couple of years, continuing that momentum. Invitations to perform at bigger and better live shows began to flow and by 2024 the behemoth that is Rottweiler Records had taken notice…Tundra were signed. Now as 2025 dawns Tundra are preparing to release their second album, the first with powerful label backing behind it and what a monster it is! A demonstration of what deathcore and metalcore can really be when the genres are pushed to their limits and sculpted by fierce imagination and creativity…this is Eternal!

“So, how’s it feel to be alone?”

Eternal begins with the strange, fractured and unsettling piece, ‘Alone’. A plaintive vocal sings of solitude and emptiness while in the background a huge power gnaws at its restraints, waiting to be let loose. The tension builds through this enigmatic introduction until it is released in the bruising, electronically infused onslaught of the album’s first single, ‘Welcome To Hell’. Varied vocals – anguished cries, desperate screams and huge, gut rumbling growls that seem to emanate from the depths of the earth – alternate and complement each other and the special nature of Tundra’s music begins to become apparent. Working within genres that can feel cluttered with formulaic approaches, Tundra manage to be fascinating, enthralling…genuinely different. The songs that make up Eternal all have a unique character and a personal heartbeat, but they are also subtly woven together. ‘Alone’ isn’t just a clever introduction to this journey beneath blackened skies, it’s a glimpse into the soul of Eternal. Every song has a palpable purpose to fulfil in this incredible morality play…’Smoke And Mirrors’ providing an unexpected cascade of colours, ‘Hostage’ an utterly decimating exercise in ultra brutality; ‘911’, even without words, speaks volumes with every massive chord struck and the frenetic and frantic, varied and vital ‘Revelation’ employs every weapon in the Tundra arsenal to shocking effect, with jarring juxtapositions of sound. From beginning to end Eternal is steeped in incredible atmosphere and perhaps this, more than anything else, makes it one of the most satisfying, fulfilling and impressive deathcore/metalcore albums you will ever encounter. Never one dimensional, the darkness of Eternal is painted in multiple shades of shadows and decorated with star like moments of inventive brilliance in the black.

“I feel my soul being torn apart!”

Rottweiler Records will unlock the door to Tundra’s Eternal on April 4th and for those prepared to brave the night an outstanding journey awaits. This album demonstrates just what immersive, emotive power extreme music can have, which is exactly what Tundra set out to achieve when they first began. Take a deep breath and step across the threshold…

SANHEDRIN RELEASE NEW SINGLE AND VIDEO: "LET´S SPILL SOME BLOOD"

PRESS RELEASE:

Today, New York heavy metal trio SANHEDRIN presents their latest single, "Let's Spill Some Blood." The track comes in advance of the band's Heat Lightning full-length, set for release Friday, March 14th on Metal Blade Records!

Notes vocalist/bassist Erica Stoltz. "The lyrics of 'Let's Spill Some Blood' reflect how fortunate the human race is that most people seek justice as opposed to revenge. There are many dark forces in the corridors of power pretending to be forces for good, and this song calls them out for what they are and urges the listener to stand up and fight for what's right."

The main guitar riff of the verse is hypnotically repeated over and over again, "symbolizing history repeating itself," according to guitarist/vocalist Jeremy Sosville. This works its way into an inspired singalong chorus, a signature of the SANHEDRIN sound.

Watch SANHEDRIN's "Let's Spill Some Blood" video HERE.

With 2022's critically lauded Lights On full-length, the band had created their most complete work to date. With their followup, Heat Lightning, the band delivers a diverse collection of songs that wholly captures their wide array of influences with an elevated level of production.

Heat Lightning gets its title from the second track of the same name. "Heat lightning is a flash of lightning from very far away, sometimes seen in a clear sky," says Stoltz. "It is used as a metaphor for where we see ourselves at the moment in relation to climate change. Collectively we have moved further away from our direct relationship to nature and have adopted a paternal relationship with the natural world, as if we have control." It was one of the first songs written for the album, and one of the most dynamic tracks the band has ever written.

"The Fight Of Your Life" is a tribute to those we call "lifers" in the music business. While "Franklin County Line" is the fastest song on the record, and inspired by Sosville's hometown and surrounding area in northern New York State. Sosville recounts, "Erica and [drummer] Nathan [Honor] came up to visit me and work on new music. In the process, we wrote a song inspired by the local Amish population but with a naughty twist."

Elsewhere, songs like "King Of Tides" sees the band slow things down to a doom-ridden plod. The cinematic music sets the tone for a story of puritanical religious fanatics landing in the New World. "They are afraid to land because the people who live where they want to land are resisting with loud war cries," says Sosville. "Striking fear in the minds of these Puritans, they interpret the interaction as a Satanic encounter." The song climaxes with an epic rock solo section, which serves as one of Sosville's "proudest moments as a lead guitar player."
