Fate of Faith, the Swiss Melodic Alt-Prog Metalband conquers every stage with their unique compositions. They set out to capture the essence of the feeling of not finding a place to fit in. Thus, most of their songs deal with the topic of mental health. 

They try to grab the thoughts of all the people that are not able to put them into words. Representative for them Fate of Faith converts these thoughts into lyrics and melodies. Equal to the seemingly endless forms of psychological challenges, their songs vary in musical aspects such as tempo, mood and depth.

Intentionally exploiting the power and alleged innocence of religion to guide others to the downfall of all is faith's fate.

Fate of Faith was founded in December 2016 by frontman Jonas Grünenfelder and former bassist Dominique Ackermann. In spring 2017 they got to know their current guitarist Noah Laternser via the "FindmyBand" website. After the official entry into the band, however, a one year-long dry spell followed. During this time no progress was made, written songs were not completed and there was not much activity.

In the early summer of 2018, Jonas Grünenfelder registered the band for the 2018 Mischufe in Sargans. The ulterior move here was to leave the band after this gig due to the inactivity, but still be able play the written songs live at least once. So the first appearance would also be the band's last.

Patrick Sahin, who played in Dominique Ackermann's second band at that time, was hired for this performance. All songs were finished and practiced within 2 months. 

After the performance everything turned out differently than planned. The positive feedback from viewers motivated the band to keep going.

The band then applied for various performances and together with the participation in various band contests (SPH Music Masters, BandxOst), Fate of Faith was able to play 14 shows in front of a live audience in 2019.

The band released their debut album "Black Heaven" in October 2019.

With the entry into the SPH Music Masters Final 2020, they actually wanted to set the start to another successful year with many performances. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, most performances had to be postponed. 

Still, the band got to play in the BandXOst contest final in fall of 2020. Just before the show, Dominique Ackermann left Fate of Faith. Kevin McFlannigan, good friend and producer of their upcoming EP, filled in for this performance.

In December 2022 Fate of Faith released said record "Selfless Devotion". An extended player consisting of five Songs that deepen their band-name's meaning. This release was put together with their temporary bassist Severin Lutz, who joined the band in the summer of 2021. 

When the band's spirit dropped due to miscommunications, divergent opinions and goals during 2022 a change was needed. The attitudes concerning the future and genre of the band between Severin Lutz and the rest of Fate of Faith led to a consensual replacement of the bands bassist. In spring of 2023 Raphael Schlauri joined the band after his audition revealed a likeminded and motivated persona which fit the Fate of Faith perfectly.

The first project with the new constellation "Odium", a Single featuring Finlay Sky Davey (Kids in Cages, Taped), confirmed the band's revived spirit, becoming one of Fate of Faith's most successful releases. Producer Raffaele Ventruto and Roger Szedalik will continue to play a big part in the band's future projects.

In Fall 2024 the band toured Europe for the first time together with their friends in UNLSH stopping in Dornbirn (AT), Vaduz (FL), Frankfurt (DE), Cologne, Munich, Leipzig and Usti nad Labem (CZ). 

With "...till death do us part" Fate of Faith ushered in a new era. The concept album that features various physical and musical artists is the first step of the band's progressive journey. 

"Melodic Alt-Prog Metal" describes the combination of groovy thrash-metal riffs / clean and atmospheric sections / pure, rockesque vocals / melodic guitar solos / unexpected implementations of unique instruments / use of time time signatures.

O Bangers Open Air 2026 está oficialmente confirmado para os dias 25 e 26 de abril, novamente no Memorial da América Latina, em São Paulo. As primeiras bandas anunciadas já foram reveladas e são nomes aclamados na cena metal que prometem shows especiais para esta edição histórica. 

Com orgulho, anunciamos Black Label Society, Primal Fear e Tankard como os primeiros nomes confirmados no line-up desta edição. 

Após quatro longos anos de espera, o Black Label Society está de volta ao Brasil como uma das atrações principais do festival! Liderada pelo lendário Zakk Wylde, a banda retorna para mais uma apresentação incrível que promete estremecer o Memorial da América Latina. 

À frente do Black Label Society, Zakk lidera ao lado de Dario Lorina, John DeServio e Jeff Fabb. Com liberdade criativa total em seu estúdio caseiro, o Black Vatican, prepara o 12º álbum da banda, antecipado pelos singles "The Gallows" e "Lord Humungus". Misturando peso, blues e caos, o quarteto cria um som feroz e enérgico, com músicas que são trilhas para momentos de euforia ou dor. Sobre os outros nomes confirmados: 

Primal Fear: mesmo com mudanças na formação, os pilares do grupo alemão de heavy metal Primal Fear permanecem: Ralf Scheepers (vocal, ex-Gamma Ray e Tyran Pace) e Mat Sinner (baixo, Sinner). Formada em meados de 1997, a banda hoje é completada pelo guitarrista Magnus Karlsson, a guitarrista ítalo-cubana Thalìa Bellazecca (Angus McSix, ex-Frozen Crown) e o baterista André Hilgers (Axxis, Rage, Silent Force, Sinner, Bonfire), que atualmente promovem o álbum "Domination", sucessor de "Code Red" (2023). Baseando seu som no heavy metal tradicional, com toques de power metal, thrash e hard rock, o grupo vem se adaptando a novas timbragens sem se manter estagnado. 

O Brasil realmente entrou na agenda da banda, que voltou diversas outras vezes e estará presente no Bangers Open Air 2026. "Sempre fico empolgado em voltar para o Brasil, um dos países onde começamos a nossa carreira. Durante todos esses anos, sempre foi legal voltar, seja para um festival ou uma turnê nossa", afirmou Mat Sinner. "Existe uma grande conexão entre nós assim que subimos ao palco. Nossa nova formação não vai deixar dúvidas, pois simplesmente vai explodir qualquer expectativa. Estamos prontos... E vocês?", concluiu Scheepers.  

Tankard: formada em 1982 por Andreas "Gerre" Geremia (vocal), Andy Gutjahr (guitarra), Frank Thorwarth (baixo) e Gerd Lücking (bateria), a banda alemã é conhecida por seu estilo inconfundível de "beer metal". Trata-se de um thrash agressivo com pitadas de punk, regado a humor ácido, crítica social e, claro, muita cerveja. Há quatro décadas celebrando a bebida e a vida sem complicações, o grupo de Frankfurt alcançou uma trajetória tão única que inspirou até o nome de um fóssil extinto: Ophiura tankardi.  

A história começou ainda no colégio Goethe-Gymnasium, quando Gerre e Frank se uniram pela paixão ao metal e escolheram o nome Tankard ao encontrá-lo em um dicionário, como referência direta a canecas de cerveja. Em 1985, assinaram com a Noise Records após a demo “Alcoholic Metal”. Os clássicos “Zombie Attack” (1986) e “Chemical Invasion” (1987), lançados em vinil no Brasil, marcaram o início da forte conexão com o público brasileiro. Hoje, com mais de 40 anos de carreira e 18 discos de estúdio, sendo “Pawlow’s Dawgs” (2022) o mais recente, o grupo mantém viva a fórmula que o consagrou. Se os Estados Unidos têm o Big Four do thrash, a Alemanha não fica atrás, com Destruction, Sodom, Kreator e, naturalmente, o Tankard.

NEUROBLADE RELEASE "DESERT CLAW"

In a shared musical past, the idea of creating a new musical project together had already been present in the minds of Jochen and David. Flirting with an high amount of heavy/thrash metal with an old school catchy and melodic touch to complete the package.The seed was planted but due to daily concernsof the recruited members the project never found it's liftoff.

Despite Jochen's active involvement with ENCHANTRESS and David's commitment to SHOCKER, a lingering desire to embark on something new persisted.In 2023 Jochen and David decided to start the creative process, unwilling to let the musical ideas fade away, theytook matters into their own hands. David, armed with his guitar and bass, recorded the instrumental components in his home studio. Utilizing contemporary technology, he seamlessly integrated supportive drumbeats with the riffs, creating a foundation that would later be pieced together into a cohesive arrangement with Jochen.

During one of their many collaborative sessions, Jochen added vocals to the existing riffs, gradually transforming them into fully-fledged songs. This process unfolded several times until they found themselves with a collection of completed songs, prompting the inevitable question: "What do we do with this?"

We decided to have the songs mixed/mastered and released under the musical project name "NEUROBLADE" naming the EP "Desert Claw" In summary, this is the genesis of "NEUROBLADE" and where we currently stand.

NORWALK RELEASE "PSYCHO MIRROR"

NORWALK is a thrash metal band located in the French Alps.

The band consists of four musicians : John : lead vocals / rhythm guitar, Byff : lead guitar, Bans : bass, Jeff : drums.

For more than 10 years now, Norwalk delivers a Thrash Prog Metal influenced by Metallica, Megadeth or even Pantera among a lot of other bands.

Their first record comes in 2011 : an EP called « Metamorpho’Z » as a reference to the original name of the band. The EP is an Old School Thrash Metalbanger and allowed the band to win a growing local fame with their live prestations.

In 2016, the second EP named « Rebirth » comes out.The 5 tracks show the indeniable evolution of the band.

This release was followed by many shows, expending Norwalk’s notoriety.

Between 2016 and 2025, Norwalk never stoped composing, writing, recording music and playing live.

In 2025, the long awaited new album finaly drops : « PSYCHO MIRROR ».

Thrash and Prog were never as visible as they are in this album, gaining another step in the band’s virtuosity.

Bend, Oregon — 2013. Chris Fleming and Andrew Ingraham first raised the banners of Gravewitch in the heart of Oregon's shadowed high desert; the world of blackened thrash metal wasn’t exactly waiting for them—but it should’ve been. Their unholy alliance would go on to carve a jagged path through a decade of turmoil, triumph, and relentless performance, delivering a brutal fusion of thrash, black, death, and melodic metal that strikes with the fury of an avalanche and the cold precision of a blade through bone. 

From the very beginning, Gravewitch—born as a two-piece with Fleming on guitar/vocals and Ingraham on drums—laid the foundation for something far darker than their humble beginnings suggested. Their sound, a storm of buzzing riffs, blast beats, and unyielding growls, evolved with each release and performance, folding in elements from legends like Kreator, Testament, Amon Amarth, Emperor, and Vader. The chemistry between the founding duo was undeniable, but as they expanded, they brought in bassist Doug Green, who helped solidify their thunderous live presence.

The music, like the band itself, is unrelenting—a blend of old-school thrash’s speed and aggression, black metal’s cold, atmospheric darkness, and the weight of death metal’s hammer. Fleming’s lyrics are just as aggressive, each track an exploration of battle, rebellion, and darkness, all delivered with a razor-sharp edge. "Circle of Power," their anthemic fan favorite, serves as a testament to their unyielding spirit, always present in their setlists, a grim declaration of their musical fire.

A Decade of Relentless Grind 

Gravewitch's rise through the ranks of the Pacific Northwest's underground metal scene has been marked by a slew of impressive performances and accomplishments. Local press documented the band's early days, and by 2015, they were carving their name into the region's live music circuit, sharing stages with heavyweights like Lord Dying, Castle, Inanimate Existence, and Nervosa.

But their story doesn’t stop there. Gravewitch has long been a fixture on the road, expanding their reach with every tour. In 2017, they supported Voltumna, a blackened death metal band from Italy, on the “Itinere Inferi West Coast Tour.” They also hit the stage alongside Brain Dead, Systematic Failure, Chains of Belmont, and Misanthropic God on the “Reaping Souls of the West Coast” tour. Their unrelenting performances took them across a wide swath of the U.S, carving a permanent mark in the underground metal scene.

On the Rise

Gravewitch’s first EP, Soul Reaper, released in 2015, was the spark that set it all off, laying the foundation for their towering presence in the scene. Their debut full-length, The Summoning (2020), marked a defining moment in their sound, blending the harsh precision of black metal with the thundering force of thrash. Tracks like “Circle of Power” became staples of their live shows, songs that encapsulate the very soul of Gravewitch: fast, dark, melodic, and utterly crushing.

Through the years, they’ve stood tall alongside legendary acts, opening for the likes of Warbringer, Flotsam and Jetsam, and Goatwhore. Their performances are nothing short of ferocious, a raw assault on the senses that leaves crowds battered, bruised, and begging for more. Whether playing in packed venues like The Domino Room or under the stars at The Capitol in Bend, they know no other way but to play with the intensity of a band determined to rise above.

Unyielding and Uncompromising

Even so, the band’s journey has always been defined by their refusal to conform. Never signing with a major label, Gravewitch has remained fiercely independent, upholding complete creative control over their music. From the start, they’ve chosen the DIY path, with Chris Fleming handling the bulk of the instrumentation on their releases, ensuring that every riff, every growl, and every pounding drumbeat aligns with their unrelenting vision. This independence has been the bedrock of their identity, allowing them to remain true to their sound and uncompromising in their approach.

As they gear up for their second full-length album, Gravewitch (2025), the anticipation grows. And with plans for a second music video for the album's first single, their visual presence is poised to be as formidable as their sonic assault.
