Born from the grips of the pandemic, SHINE are the newest brainchild of Hazael’s Tomasz Dobrzeniecki, and their first album Wrathcult leaves no doubt that a new force in Polish extreme metal has awakened.

Inspired by the likes of Emperor, Bathory, Morbid Angel, Entombed and Dismember, Dobrzeniecki’s new outfit channels that lineage into something raw, relentless, and unmistakably its own.

“‘SHINE’ for me is a sheen of a sword's blade, the last thing that your foes see in their lives. You can also relate it to the Promethean light given to people that enlightens or sometimes blinds us. It can also be a glare of rage stemming from the resistance towards the unnatural rules forced upon us,” explains Dobrzeniecki when asked about his new unit’s name. “Our music is full of references to ancient rules and rituals and times when people lived in accordance with nature and cosmos using the primeval knowledge.”

Dark Descent Records will handle the release, having previously collaborated with Dobrzeniecki on the reissue of Hazael’s classic opus. Wrathcult continues in similar thematic territory, invoking forgotten ancestral knowledge and tapping into primal forces, and mythic echoes of a pre-Christian world.

“Lyrics for the album are mainly inspired by the pre-Christian spirituality and mythology of our forefathers and based on such books as Bestiariusz Słowiański, Mitologia Słowiańska by J. Bobrowski and M. Wrona, and Słowiańska Czarownica (Slavic Bestiary, Slavic Mythology, Slavic Witch). The lyrics pay homage to nature and higher powers in order to upkeep the memories of the beliefs that once shaped our heritage. We live on the borderline of three cultures that blend together in some way – Germanic, Norse and Slavic mythology have quite a lot in common.”

The album was recorded at Heinrich House Studio in Legionowo, Poland - a small city on the outskirts of Warsaw that holds an important place in metal history, being the hometown of Daray (Dimmu Borgir, Vesania), Orion (Behemoth, Vesania) and Heinrich (Vesania, Decapitated). “Me and producer Heinrich (Filip Hałucha) have known each other for about 20 years. If you want to record a metal album that 100% meets your expectations, I think he's the only person that I trust.”

An uncompromising slab of ancient fury awaits! “See you in Valhalla! I’ve heard the parties there are worth dying for,” exclaims Dobrzeniecki.

ERADICATION RELEASE "ERADICATION" EP

Eradication: São Paulo-based Death Metal band releases brutal self-titled debut EP with special release show

Formed in the interior of São Paulo in the city of Cerquilho, the death/thrash quartet Eradication released their debut EP on January 16th. "Eradication", released on streaming platforms through the label Verde Produções, emerges with weight and conviction, a work with an overwhelming rhythmic cadence driven by a striking vocal performance and razor-sharp instrumental work.

"Eradication portrays the inevitable collapse of humanity consumed by greed and arrogance. Amidst the shadows that devour the light and cities transformed into ashes, Eradication leads a final march towards the abyss, where collective agony announces the end of all hope for humanity," states the band.

Formed in late 2024 the band consisting of Fernando (vocals), Ygor (guitar), Danilo (bass), and Heric (drums)  brings a blazing maturity and solidity, inspired and influenced by names like Bloodbath, Morbid Angel, Deicide and Behemoth. The band emerges from chaos and violence presenting songs with a dense atmosphere, with striking riffs, dark guttural vocals, and a raw, visceral approach. The lyrics question and challenge faith in humanity, exploring the ruin of a civilization corroded by its own corruption.

The debut EP "Eradication" was recorded at Fraktal Studio in Cerquilho and features recording, mixing, and mastering by Fernando Roma and Hiorito. The material presents six solid tracks that officially introduce a substantially promising and powerful band, which can soon be officially experienced live at a free performance at the Underground Fest festival in Cerquilho on January 24th, along with four other bands.

Russian death metal juggernauts Monastery Dead have unleashed their brand-new music video for “Raptophilia”, taken from their 2024 full-length Ego Sum Dolor. The track delivers the band’s signature blend of traditional death metal brutality and modern technical precision, striking a brutal chord for fans of Bloodbath, Misery Index, and Jungle Rot.

Formed in 2004 by bassist Vadim Nikolaev, Monastery Dead have cemented a formidable reputation on the global extreme metal stage with four full-length albums, multiple singles, and videos, touring across Russia and beyond. They’ve shared stages with legends such as Haemorrhage, Dying Fetus, Debauchery, Benighted, Unleashed, and Impaled Nazarene, proving their live power time and again.

Stuttgart, Germany – The wait is over! German Melodic Death Metal juggernaut Helldrifter has officially released their highly anticipated new album Shell of Inexistence via Violent Creek Records , now available worldwide on all digital platforms!

As a final preview before the full release, the band has dropped a lyric video for their latest and last single, “Martyrs Of A Dying Age” – now streaming at: YouTube

Opening the album, “Martyrs Of A Dying Age” catapults listeners into Helldrifter’s dystopian vision of nuclear doom. With an atmospheric intro and pummeling execution, the track sets a dark tone, lyrically painting images of despair and the collapse of civilization.

This comes on the heels of their previous singles, including the crushing “Suicide Strike” , a ferocious composition that channels the chaos of a suicide bomber through guttural grooves and intense riffage reminiscent of Cannibal Corpse’s Evisceration Plague and Morbid Angel’s God of Emptiness .

Additionally, Helldrifter recently unleashed the official video for “Reckoning In Blood” , a brutal visual assault highlighting their signature blend of aggressive precision and apocalyptic themes.

LEVIATHAN A.C. RELEASE "GOD´S FAILURE"

Leviathan A.C was spawned from the dark streets of Venezuela in 1999. Rooted in primordial obscurity and guided by blasphemy, the band forged four discographic productions through years of relentless rehearsals, chaos, and underground rituals. One of these releases, “God’s End Is the Path”, was issued by the Colombian label Manitu Records in 2005, while bestial live performances took place across various stages in Venezuela and Colombia.

In 2009, Leviathan A.C signed with the Swedish label Salute Records, releasing its fourth full-length album, which had already been completed in 2006, Through the Unholy Rules We Shall Rise—a work that pushed the band’s vision forward through stronger compositional arrangements while firmly reinforcing its path within the most raw and hostile territories of Black Metal.

Following the relocation of Nebirus (vocals / guitar) to Spain, Leviathan A.C entered a prolonged period of silent incubation. Years of perseverance, devotion, and compositional fermentation led to the rebirth of the project in 2024 with the EP “The Rise of Leviathan”. Recorded at Bohinum Home Studio in collaboration with Rey Vaj, the EP delivers four tracks of impious, oppressive, and blasphemous Black Metal, deliberately reviving the filth and violence of the band’s earliest era while achieving a solid and uncompromising sound.

In the present cycle, Leviathan completed the album “God’s Failure”, scheduled for release on January 23, 2026, through a joint alliance between Vacula Productions (Ukraine), Artes Negras Prods (Uruguay), and Impaled Records (Brazil), later expanding the contamination into Mexico through Nekromanthra Records.

With the new lineup, Leviathan A.C prepares for a new phase of live manifestations. The band’s intent is absolute: to channel devotion and blasphemy into suffocating stage atmospheres, invoking a hostile and ritualistic presence, and delivering Black Metal in its most personal form—unfiltered and charged with contempt.

“God’s Failure” is not an album; it is the sound of the collapse of divinity—a ritual of negation where faith rots and only blasphemy remains: a ceremonial execution of the God of Abraham.
