LIGATURE MARKS presents a brutal new offering in "Weapons." The single release unveils their darker side as it deviates away from the band's typical sound to incorporate elements of deathcore and industrial. "Weapons" provides a first glimpse at LIGATURE MARKS' forthcoming sophomore full-length album which sees the band pushing the boundaries of their sound.

On "Weapons" vocalist Ben Charles shares: "We wanted to make something that felt dangerous, something that was truly evil, from the song itself to the visuals. This one isn't meant to feel like a warm hug, it's meant to make you feel uneasy".

Dissonance bleeds through the track, connecting the sinews of the bloodthirsty verses and anthemic choruses, marking a triumphant debut from Brad Leadham (keyboards, samples). The accompanying music video draws inspiration from the band's passion for the horror genre. Guitarist / Director Karl Whinnery: "I told the band, think serial killer's crawlspace, with a dash of Sicario thrown in."

About LIGATURE MARKS:

Based out of Portland, Oregon, LIGATURE MARKS formed in 2017 and released their debut album, Set Oceans On Fire, independently in the same year. This notable first instalment led to fast-earned popularity in the Pacific Northwest, and subsequently landed LIGATURE MARKS as direct support for bands such as GOJIRA, FEAR FACTORY, SOULFLY, UNEARTH and SKINLAB.

BIOGRAPHY -

VEXATAN is a Brazilian Blackened Death Metal band, which originated in 2022, in the city of Paranaguá - Paraná. As a one man band, mentored by Danihell, responsible for vocals and all instruments.

Obsessed with black art and extreme music, the band has as references the old school of the style's subgenres, based on visceral and atmospheric instrumentals with crushing drum beats.

In its musicality, VEXATAN has expirations blasphemies, darkness, satanism, occultism, anti-christianity.

The band released their debut EP, "ETERNAL TORMENT", in June 2022, on all streaming platforms. Offering a glimpse into their brutal, visceral sound.

In September 2023, the band's second EP was released, completely independently, on all streaming platforms, with a good reception, " DIABOLIC EMPIRE". It received excellent acceptance and positive reviews, establishing VEXATAN's name on the global extreme music scene.

On May 26, 2024, the single "Swallowing the Light of All Creation" was released. Further cementing their reputation for delivering quality extreme metal and unrelenting brutality. Solidifying VEXATAN's position as a force to be reckoned with.On 02/08/2025 the single “Paranormal Phenomenon” was released.

Electric Banshee was formed in 2025 in London, England by José Rivera. Maidenhead is a Massachusetts/Rhode Island-based thrash/death metal band formed in 2013, combining the razor-edged precision of classic thrash with the aggression, atmosphere, and weight of old-school death metal. Drawing influence from bands including Megadeth, Death, Slayer, Possessed, and Sodom while pushing those foundations through progressive song structures and a modern attack, Maidenhead has spent more than a decade developing a sound built around high-velocity riffing, technical musicianship, and uncompromising live performances.

Founded by guitarist/backing vocalist and primary songwriter Zack Roberts, Maidenhead's current lineup features Zeping “Bella” Song on vocals, Vance Simmons on guitar, Lawrence Lee on bass, and Andre Forero on drums.

Following the release of debut album Decapitation of a Maiden in 2023, Maidenhead expanded beyond the New England underground through an increasingly active multi-state touring history. The band has performed across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Virginia, and California, including a six-city California run through San Jose, Santa Cruz, Oakland, Pomona, East Hollywood, and Los Angeles. Along the way, Maidenhead has shared stages with internationally recognized and veteran acts including Artillery, D.R.I., Prong, Pyrexia, Deceased, and Blood Feast.

On August 14, 2026, Maidenhead independently released its second full-length album, Maximum Clonage — the band's most ambitious and fully realized record to date. Six of its eight tracks were mixed by legendary producer Randy Burns, whose landmark credits include Megadeth, Death, Possessed, Kreator, and Nuclear Assault, while Dan Saillant mastered the album.

The record also brings together an exceptional group of guest musicians. Former Megadeth guitarist Chris Poland appears on “Kill Or Be Killed,” former Megadeth and King Diamond guitarist Glen Drover appears on “False Masked Hero,” and Rich Gray of Annihilator performs bass across tracks 2–7. Additional appearances include guitarist Chen Wang, Daniel Herrera, and trumpeter Mykhailo Kobets.

The response to Maximum Clonage has quickly demonstrated the band's growing reach beyond its home scene. Dead Rhetoric awarded the album 8.5/10, describing it as a “healthy, addictive dose of death/thrash.” SaitenKult in Germany awarded it 8/10 — “Erstklassig” (“first-class”) — while recognizing Maidenhead's ability to draw from its influences without simply copying them.

MangoWave Magazine called the album a “26-minute onslaught of heavy, raw, and hurtful precision strikes,” while Athenaeum of Sin Reviews described it as “a complete, unforgettable package.” Hotel Hobbies called Maximum Clonage “a significant step forward” from the band's debut, and Female Fronted Power praised its “thrash executed with real precision and relentless energy.”

Across those reviews, critics have repeatedly highlighted the band's twin-guitar attack, Song's commanding extreme-metal vocals, Forero's precision drumming, the record's balance of thrash velocity and death-metal weight, Burns' production, and the strength of its guest performances.

With Maximum Clonage, Maidenhead has moved beyond simply carrying the torch for old-school extreme metal. The band is building its own identity from that foundation — backed by an expanding touring history, international critical attention, collaborations with some of metal's most respected musicians, and a record that represents a clear step forward in its evolution.

Montreal metal outfit Killed By Sorrow has officially announced the release of their first full‑length album, "Empire of Excess," due out on October 23rd, 2026, to follow EPs "Careless of This Sadness" (2023) and "Time Has Come" (2022). Wolnera continues to resist being put in a box as they release their new single and music video, DESPERATE FOR A DROP. 

Following their July single ART OF LOSING, which showcased their evolution toward a modern sound, the band from Slovakia is back with another release accompanied by a music video. 

The music video was filmed and edited by Štefan Šimuni at the Burn Fest Open Air 2026 festival. Sound engineering and production were once again handled by Košice-based producer Radovan Kočík.
