SATAN´S WRATH SIGNS WITH METAL BLADE

Formed in 2011 by multi-instrumentalist Tas Danazoglou (Vocals, Drums, Bass) and Stamos K (Guitars), Satan’s Wrath deal in a style of heavy metal music which harks back to the times when the death, black and thrash genres were all considered one in the same, and only leather, spikes and bullets were real!

The band’s debut release Galloping Blasphemy contains nine tracks of unholy terror and is to be released on September 25th, 2012 in North America, and September 21st/24th in Europe. Updates and new music will be released on metalblade.com as they become available.

Tas Danazoglou comments on the deal with Metal Blade: “I bought ‘Show No Mercy’ by Slayer when it was first released and have dreamt of the day when my own unholy necro-noise would be unleashed upon the earth via the same channels. Literally, this is my nightmare come true”.

Brian Slagel of Metal Blade Records, who celebrate their 30 year anniversary this year, comments: “When I first heard Satan’s Wrath it transported me back three decades to the early days of the label when I loved bands like Slayer (who released their first 3 titles between 1983 & 1985 on Metal Blade) and Possessed (whose first commercial release was the track “Swing of the Axe” which opened the Metal Blade compilation ‘Metal Massacre XI’ in 1985). What will always impress me about the heavy metal genre is its ability to borrow from the past and boldly wear it’s influences on its sleeve, while still sounding fresh and relevant to the time it was created. The production set up took place in the depths of a forest close to King of Asgard’s rehearsal lair. A late night in May – dusk and burdened raindrops. Perfect conditions for creating works of ruin. Searching to reflect the mythological end-of-this-world theme of “The Nine Worlds Burn”, Rickard and Andreas produced a video full of ritualistic and apocalyptic visuals that perfectly enhance the song’s sense of dread and destruction. Undead, the latest installment of audio brutality from death metal deviants SIX FEET UNDER entered the Billboard Heatseekers Chart at #5 upon its first week of release! In addition, Undead landed at at #30 on the Billboard Top Independent Album Chart, #22 on the Billboard Top Hard Music Albums Chart, #14 Billboard Top Current Albums Chart and #183 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart.

The Gothenburg-inspired metal act released the album in March on Cyclone Empire Records in Europe and shot a video for the track, In An Obscure Eternity. AS I LAY DYING PREMIERS NEW TRACK "CAUTERIZE"

The Grammy-nominated group AS I LAY DYING will premiere a new song “Cauterize” today (Friday, June 22) on Sirius Radio’s “Liquid Metal” channel at 5:00pm ET. This Sunday, the song will debut on www.AsILayDying.com for free starting at midnight PST for 24 hours only. It will then be available for download on iTunes and online everywhere the next day. AS I LAY DYING are currently holed up in the Blasting Room with renowned rock producer Bill Stevenson, who’s also the drummer for Descendents (and has played with Black Flag); and mixer Colin Richardson.
