Eyehategod, who recently announced their first new album in seven years, “A History of Nomadic Behavior” (March 12, Century Media Records), have debuted a second single from the twelve song album, releasing “Fake What’s Yours” with an accompanying visualizer. Check it out HERE!
“’Fake What's Yours’ is the second single from our new album, “A History of Nomadic Behavior”, and it's a pure uncut chunk of anti-authoritarian preach-speak set to a condescending guitar riff that could only be born from the dirty streets of New Orleans, says Mike IX Williams. “We can't wait for everyone to hear the full record, but for now, put on your gas masks, lock your doors, stay home and LISTEN!”
News of the new album and the debut of the eerily prescient first single, “High Risk Trigger”, was met with widespread enthusiasm. Revolver described the track as “an apocalyptic rager instilled with the anxiety and insurgency of our times,” Stereogum said the song is “a true banger,” and Consequence of Sound said the early preview denotes “a worthy return for a band that’s made crushing consistency its trademark.”
“A History of Nomadic Behavior” follows a period that saw the New Orleans based band on the road for three years, preceded by Williams suffering liver failure and a transplant. “We toured our asses off for three years and that’s where “A History of Nomadic Behavior” basically comes from,” adds Williams before touching on his health challenge: “Death is a part of life, it’s a roll of the dice. Sometimes you take life as it comes, other times you fight to stay alive .” The album was produced by Eyehategod, Sanford Parker (Yob, Voivod) and James Whitten (Thou, High on Fire), with mixing by Whitten. The band recorded at HighTower Recording and Hypercube studios.

About EyeHateGod
New Orleans’ Eyehategod is the snarling, bilious sound of dead-end America. Since 1988, they’ve been a soundtrack for the troubled masses. Pitchfork dubbed them the “quintessential Southern sludge band,” Rolling Stone said they are one of “America’s great live bands,” and Thrasher said they are “true musical pioneers in every sense of the word.” Anyone familiar with Eyehategod’s story knows this is survivor’s music, a sound unto itself where Sabbathian riffs are meted out with a caustic anger that goes beyond punk. That’s been the blueprint since guitarist Jimmy Bower (also of NOLA supergroup, Down) founded the band in 1988 with vocalist Michael IX Williams joining not long after. With a discography including sludge-punk mainstays like In the Name of Suffering (1990), Take as Needed for Pain (1993) Dopesick (1996), Confederacy of Ruined Lives (2000) and 2014’s eponymously-titled LP, released in the US through Housecore Records, Eyehategod laid the cracked foundation for their infamous and influential sound. Gary Mader is the band’s bass player, with Aaron Hill on drums.
New England comedic metal act ORCumentary has unleashed "Betrayer's Song". The track is from the upcoming release "Fully ORChestrated",which takes many classic ORCumentary songs and swaps out their electric guitars and traditional drums for searing strings, blaring brass, terrifying timpani, and tooting flutes.
Orc Adams commented: "The Betrayer's Song" is one of my favorite songs off my previous album, "Destroy the Dwarves". The original is perhaps the fastest, heaviest, and darkest ORCumentary songs to date, and yet this ORChestrated version is just as intense even with strings, brass, and timpani in place of heavy guitars and drums. The new arsenal of instruments allowed me to go crazy with this re-arrangement, and I'm especially proud of the epic flute-centered outro."
After a headlong dive into the aesthetics of classic 80s horror movies with the clip for “As I Lie Awake” WITHERFALL are further exploring their nightmarish journey with “The Other Side of Fear” which was directed by Cig Neutron and KasL: https://youtu.be/PxD9Z0EZOIU
WITHERFALL about the video clip: “’The Other Side of Fear’ video is a nightmare-scape starring Cig Neutron, Rannie Rodil and Sin Twisted. Cig Neuron and his team managed to capture the core themes of the song. Theß video highlights the lyrical panic and anxious fear driven delivery of the music. The video is unsettling, creative and definitely NSFW.” They further comment on the track: “This song is the oldest track on this record. Joseph had the title and basic melody and theme. The music was written around it, usually at the end of each writing session. The piece was initially started during the ‘A Prelude to Sorrow’ sessions where the verses and chorus were complete. As we progressed with the writing of ‘A Prelude To Sorrow’ it became apparent we were writing a rock opera about Adam Sagan and ‘The Other Side of Fear’ did not really fit thematically. The Song was finished in Las Vegas after a debaucherously ridiculous evening.”
“The Other Side of Fear” is the forth single taken from “Curse Of Autumn”, the upcoming album from WITHERFALL that is scheduled for a worldwide release on March 5th, 2021 with the US vinyl being available April 2nd, 2021.

Ohio' most promising upcoming death metal outfit Sanguisugabogghave signed to Century Media Records. The band will release its label debut “Tortured Whole” on March 26. It's available for pre-order HERE!
The band has shared the video for the new song "Menstrual Envy." Watch it HERE!
"We gather here today to announce our partnership with Century Media and to release 'Menstrual Envy,' the first single off our LP 'Tortured Whole'," the band says. "This is a love song about chopping off your own damn hog. Thanks."
Mike Gitter, VP of A&R, shares, " Sanguisugabogg were one of the most unlikely and explosive success stories of 2019. Their acid-addled take on death metal struck a raw nerve with a scant 11 minutes of genre-busting insanity on the Pornographic Seizures EP. In a short space of time, they became the most buzzed-about band in extreme metal. Now, Tortured Whole is a creative step into a more unsettling terrain, probably death metal's answer to PFunk's Maggot Brain. This is your brain on Sanguisugabogg."
Philipp Schulte, Director of Century Media Records, says, " We are very happy having partnered up with Sanguisugabogg, one of the most promising new death metal bands from the United States of America. Even though it might take you a while to get the pronunciation right, every death metal fan on this planet will soon know the name. Sanguisugabogg solidifies Century Media's commitment to releasing extreme music, and we are very much looking forward to the first quarter of 2021, when the band's debut album is going to be unleashed."
While establishing their own unique and ferocious musical approach, one can clearly notice the '80s and '90s influences in Sanguisugabogg's music. The band pays tribute to genre legends like Bolt Thrower, Obituary, Cannibal Corpse, and Mortician.
Newly-staffed femme Thrash Metal engine NERVOSA releases their explosive third single, “Under Ruins”, cut from their upcoming full-length album, Perpetual Chaos, to be released this Friday on January 22nd, 2021 via Napalm Records.
As a harbinger of their new record, Diva Satanica’s powerful and aggressive vocals draw the listener into the heavy vortex of NERVOSA’s pure energy. Along with an official music video, the new track highlights the difficult topic of a homeless child left to survive on the streets.
NERVOSA’s upcoming longplayer Perpetual Chaos marks the beginning of a new era whilst also underlining their straight-forward lyricism and style: From political grievances and amplifying the voices of minorities to protesting against factory farming, capitalism and succumbing to the ill-informed musings of social elites - these commanding women do not mince words.
Enter a thrashing world of destruction and be a part of the next generation of NERVOSA!
Guitarist Prika Amaral comments:
“It was a wonderful experience with these girls, they are all very talented and did an excellent job, I have never been so happy with the final result of a record. I chose Artesonao studio in Malaga, because it is isolated and in an extremely beautiful place, we worked hard but we had the best vibe between us.”
“It was undoubtedly a very intense process in every way. Not only did we learn to work together, but also to get to know each other and live together. I am very lucky to be able to be part of a project like this and I am sure that with the release of this album, NERVOSA will take a very important step in its career. Working with Martin Furia was incredible, he helped me to find nuances in my voice that I didn't know I had. Get ready, for a new era more powerful than ever!”
Guided by a marvelous force of uncompromising thrash and death metal, the raw power of Perpetual Chaos has its finger on the pulse of time: Lyrically, NERVOSA does not hesitate to tackle issues that impact the very core of society as we know it. Tracks like the airtight opener “Venomous”, the fast-twitching “Until The Very End” and “Time To Fight” prove that NERVOSA’s revitalized identity experiments with both fresh new elements and crucial auditory foundations without succumbing to any clichés. “Genocidal Command” perks ears with Diva Satanica’s vocal eloquence, accented by the outstanding range of Schmier (DESTRUCTION) whilst mirroring a rousing thrash metal manifest. A tremendous outcome awaits with brawl-brushed guitar lines, blisteringly fast drums and critical lyricism – striking the listener in a way only NERVOSA could. Viva Perpetual Chaos!

Finnish black metallers QWÄLEN have signed to Italian label Time To Kill Records for the release of their first album, "Unohdan sinut".
The album will see an official release on 19th February 2021 on limited edition vinyl and digital formats. The title track, "Unohdan sinut", is now streaming at THIS LOCATION.
The band states: "We guess Darkthrone, Nifelheim, Bathory, Terveet Kädet are the acts that we are influenced by. Some things you can hear in the sound, some not. The band's sound sort of just comes out as it is, even though we try to write songs with whatever focus there is".
Hailing from Oulu/Helsinki, QWÄLEN found its current form in 2017 after a bunch of different lineups. The band members share a passion for playing music in its various raw manifestations and their band backgrounds include Kürøishi, Nistikko, Dumathoin and Akma among many others. The members have been actively involved with the underground punk scene and this longtime involvement in the punk scene can also be heard in the music, with Young and in the Way and Dödsrit influences seeping into their interpretation of black metal. Lyrical content concentrates mostly on self-portrayal rather than the stereotypical anti-religious themes.

Cattle Decapitation released their latest record, Death Atlas, to critical acclaim in 2019; today, the band has launched a new video for the album track, "Finish Them". Directed by Nicholas Vidler, the video features live footage from Cattle Decapitation's sold-out shows in Melbourne, Australia in early 2020. Watch "Finish Them" now at: youtu.be/GYHK9D3pDkg
Vocalist Travis Ryan comments: "When traveling to Australia to embark on our Australia/New Zealand/Japan tour in early 2020, we wondered what would await us on their soil as bushfires were raging, claiming the lives of millions of wild animals, altering the lives of many of our fans and citizens of Australia. What we didn't expect was record turnouts with serious rabid fans that I think just wanted to take their minds off the current state of affairs and do their best to have a good time given the utterly shit circumstances they were experiencing. We quickly organized meet and greets at the last minute and were able to raise well over $25,000AUD for the Cobargo Wildlife Sanctuary, who had pretty much lost everything in the fires. Thanks to the incredible support from our fans down under and through other folks ready to help, they were able to rebuild. We really felt like we had been given a gift by the fans, so we wanted to give back to these people who came out and raged with us by releasing our final music video for 'Death Atlas,' which showcases how sick the shows were and how truly amazing our fans are. Look close, maybe you'll find yourself in the crowd! Looking forward to returning to the stage one day, hopefully soon!"
Produced once again by Dave Otero (flatlineaudio.com), Death Atlas was named one of the best records of 2019 by Decibel Magazine, Metal Sucks, Metal Injection, and many more, and it demands an emotional response. Cattle Decapitation have never shied away from confronting the awfulness wrought upon the natural world by the human race, and Death Atlas is their bleakest offering to date, featuring elements of death metal, grindcore, black metal, sludge, doom, drone - with Travis Ryan's vocals broader and more fully realized than ever before.
