"Perennial Umbra" will give you the experience of loud and heavy bands of the late 60s, 70s, and 80s while driving forward the sound and atmosphere of black and death metal today.

Incessant wishes to honor the ethos of pushing creativity to the extremes through sonically tangible means. Music doesn’t need to be perfected and refined to the point of becoming sterile and soulless, it is a primitive instinct that has birthed this release resulting in a dark and twisted yet melodically enrapturing musical experience.

This new release is an expression of the hell-broth of humanity we all have found ourselves in through some cosmic lottery. It is a reflection of the deep shadowed underside of consciousness and it is a defiant stance on creating from the heart despite all of this. Stockholm melodeath stalwarts This Ending returns with their anticipated album, Needles of Rust, due out June 11th via Black Lion Records on CD, cassette, and digital formats; vinyl will be issued later this year.

Formed in 2005, This Ending emerged from the ashes of A Canorous Quintet, one of the earliest players of the melodeath scene. Following the dissolution of A Canorous Quintet, the members went on to join (October Tide, Amon Amarth) or form (Guidance of Sin) other bands, and finally, after 07 years of break, the members from the last active lineup reached a conclusion to start a new era and write music freely escaping from any expectations. And thus, they decided to function under a new moniker.

This Ending’s demo, Let the World Burn, released in 2006, paved the way for sealing a deal with Metal Blade Records, who would later issue the group’s first two albums: Inside the Machine and Dead Harvest. Earning accolades from the fans and the critiques alike, these two albums cemented This Ending’s position strongly in the metal underground. The next couple of years saw a few changes in the lineup, the Systematic Worship EP (in 2012), and the celebrated Garden of Death album (in 2016).  A European tour and a slew of shows were followed by the third album.

The drummer Fredrik Andersson parted ways with the band when the new album, Needles of Rust, was almost completed. The leaving of Fredrik had indeed put the band in a complex situation, but fortunately, they already had the dexterous Peter Nagy, who joined the ranks as the second guitarist. Peter Nagy had already been playing drums in Mörk Gryning, so he quickly accepted the challenge to replace Fredrik behind the drums.  

Needles of Rust deals with different kinds of nightmare scenarios: some songs are loosely based on actual events that have happened all over the world, whereas the other numbers are just about nightmares as an overall phenomenon. The album contains eight original songs, plus the remixed version of the 2019’s single “The Hunted” as a bonus track in the physical formats. On this record, This Ending continues blending relentless aggression and absolute darkness into their grandiose melodeath dreamscape.

CRAWLING MANIFEST RELEASE "RADICAL ABSOLUTION"

Crawling Manifest has been kicking around since 2014, however, after their last tour; they decided to go in a new direction musically. They ended up being reduced to a duo, but that has only made the fire burn hotter as evident with their new album “Radical Absolution”.

This change has been hugely satisfying for Andrew Gladu (vocals/bass/drums) and Trevor Layton (guitars) who are eager to show off their own style, a modern take on classic thrash metal. “Radical Absolution” was intended to be a four-song EP, but in the wake of Covid, morphed into a full eight-track album. “The start of the album being an emotional instrumental build-up to the first track “Land of the Free”, and the last track “Onslaught” really reminds us of taking a deep breath, letting everything that’s been building up inside out, and then starting fresh. Crawling Manifest cites that their goal in writing music is to make their fans feel something and “Radical Absolution” delivers just that. This new album, really dug deep into a current event/political mindset, with almost all of the lyrics reflecting on the struggles of the everyday person in the world of 2020. 

Loud powerful thrash with the old school themes of yelling about the government, “Radical Absolution” is a perfect grab for those interested in Power Trip, Testament, and Exodus.

"The song “No Control” is about the Nazis' megalomania and inhuman body experiments. The scenario describes the devil's cruelty in Auschwitz. The perverse human experiments became a kind of addiction. They always wanted to try more and more. The mental and physical control of the Nazis in Auschwitz disappeared.

The lyrics describe that many autopsies were shown publicly while the person was still alive. Brazilian / Dutch death metal unit CRYPTA is ready for another round-house kick and unveils their second single, "Starvation", off their upcoming debut album, along with an official lyric video. Their long awaited first full-length - Echoes Of The Soul - will be released on June 11, 2021 via Napalm Records.

Fernanda Lira and Luana Dametto are joined by supremely talented guitarists Sonia Anubis (Cobra Spell, Ex-Burning Witches) and Tainá Bergamaschi (Ex-Hagbard) to incite an uncontrollable storm of pure rage and belligerence. They enforce a heightened level of potency and experience from their successful past and current projects - enhancing influences from both classic and modern death metal genres, plus significant extreme and black metal elements, to create a sound of their own.

With their first single, “From The Ashes”, they hit the mark precisely and opened the gates straight to the dark death metal abyss, and with their second single, “Starvation”, the four-piece showcases another explosive facet of their infernal sonic power.

Echoes of the Soul was recorded in January 2021 at the Family Mob Studio (Brazil), mixed by Arthur Rizk (Code Orange, Powertrip etc.) and mastered by the famed Jens Bogren (Opeth, Dimmu Borgir, Sepultura etc.).
