THE DEBUT STUDIO ALBUM OF EERIE DEATH/DOOM METAL DEPRAVITY FROM GREG WILKINSON AND CHRIS REIFERT OF US GORELORDS, AUTOPSY

Static Abyss is the new mouthpiece for a rotten age consisting of the duo of Greg Wilkinson (Guitars/bass) & Chris Reifert (drums/vocals), both members of legendary American masters of sickness Autopsy, with Greg (also of cult act Deathgrave) recently welcomed as new bass player for the long-running US act’s next studio opus and beyond.

Static Abyss’ debut studio album, ‘Labyrinth of Veins’, presents an unnerving, multi-layered eerie concoction of dirty doom and death, including themes exploring the echoes of insanity manifested through human existence. The result; a sinister onslaught of at times slow and bludgeoning brutal metal whilst at others whipped into a storm of chaotic vile hysterics. The spirit of Autopsy is at times present in the truly titanic riffs swathed in chilling atmospheric guitar leads, whilst Chris’ seemingly bottomless pit of morbid inspiration from the dark & twisted corners of life permeate the release with his highly distinguishable delivery to further the descent into madness.

‘Labyrinth of Veins’ was recorded at Earhammer Studios in Oakland, CA, & Great American Music Hall, with engineering, mixing and mastering overseen by Greg himself.

Rising from the depths of the abyss, DEMIRICOUS are preparing to unleash their most monstrous record yet III: Chaotic Lethal. The death/thrash quartet from Indianapolis, Indiana, initially formed in 2005 and released two successful full lengths gaining international regard. Following an extended hiatus, the outfit are making an impactful return.

DEMIRICOUS delve into heavier instrumentation and sinister moods, releasing a plethora of hard-hitting sounds across the tracks. Immersing eerily into a desolate landscape, “Unconditional Hate” smothers the senses. As guitars begin to screech and grapple through the murkiness, it’s not long before the sheer speed and power of DEMIRICOUS breaks through. Demonic low tones dominate the instrumentation and aggressive vocals. From the high fuelled groove rhythms of and blast beats of “Smoke Chaser”, to the unearthly doom and gloom of “Chaotic Lethal”, DEMIRICOUS venture across realms of dynamic metal influences creating a thrilling and hauntingly theatrical experience. The album operates in a cyclical nature seeing the final track, “Faith Crime” withdraw to the void from which III: Chaotic Lethal emerged. 

III: Chaotic Lethal marks a monumental milestone. It is an epic collection of tracks exploring a dark narrative of the barbaric and grotesque. DEMIRICOUS’s sound is revived and restored, as the band have evolved into their next chapter.

After an eight year leave of absence Flayed Disciple are back on the frontlines, bringing with them five new tracks of incendiary death/thrash metal! The sound of endless war and eternal conflict captured within machine gun riffs, barbed wire solos, a rhythm section like an artillery barrage and vocals to raise the dead – this is the reality of A Hell In Living Flesh!

The release of their debut album, Death Hammer, in 2012 really announced Flayed Disciple to the worldwide underground metal scene in no uncertain terms. With No Clean Singing comparing the effect of listening to Death Hammer to “injecting napalm into the bloodstream”, Flayed Disciple begin to rise through the metal ranks, performing at Hammerfest, Bloodstock and Neurotic Deathfest. A self-titled EP in 2014 kept the momentum going, along with shows across Europe with the likes of Aborted and Vader. Then, although the band never disbanded, they stepped back from the treadmill of writing, recording and touring – until now. Now they are back with a brand new EP that utterly decimates everything that has come before. After years of brazilian tours, important shows alongside big names in world metal such as Dark Funeral, Gama Bomb, Krisiun, etc, a European tour that went through five countries, it was time for CRUCIFIXION BR to present its definitive work: “Human Decay”!

Successor to the acclaimed “Destroying The Fucking Disciples Of Christ” (2014), “Human Decay” is the second album by CRUCIFIXION BR and as well as the debut was recorded in January 2020 at the Hurricane Studio in Porto Alegre/RS Brazil and produced by vocalist/guitarist Maxx Guterres and uruguayan producer/guitarist Sebastian Carsin. Postponed for release in October 31st 2021 due to COVID-19. The album features special guest André Rod from brazilian Thrash Metal band ATTOMICA on the title track “Human Decay”, and the legend Dave Ingram (BENEDICTION, ex-BOLT THROWER) on “Bloody Fire Victory”. Also Sebastian Carsin recorded all the lead guitars in the album as a guest.

The cover art for “Human Decay” is signed by Romulo Dias (SHAMAN, Edu Falaschi, Alírio Netto).

“Human Decay represents the natural evolution of Crucifixion BR and I'm very happy with it”, declares vocalist and guitarist Maxx Guterres. “We've kept the roots intact and continue to address the brutality of this style of music, but there is, in fact, an evolution both musically and in terms of lyrics. This is a stronger, more brutal record, with more Death Metal elements, but still with the presence of Black Metal in some aspects. Crucifixion BR is going down a more technical and intelligent path, I think the music is more creative, as well as the lyrics. The previous album "Destroying…" has a lot of old stuff, from the roots, has demo songs and new songs from the time, on Human Decay only two songs are old, “My Savior” and “A Few Lies Of Your Whole Light”, coincidentally are the ones which were released as singles and music videos. The lyrics of the first album addressed classic Black Metal themes, such as the criticism of the hypocrisy of the Catholic Church, anti-Christianity, a little bit about existential crisis, talking about death, while Human Decay is an evolution. Of course, we still keep on criticizing Christianity or any other type of religion and fanaticism, but we also focus on believing in ourselves, in our ideals, in our inner strength and without dogmas, without religion, which ends up transmitting to the fans a message of not giving up on your goals and dreams and trying to do the right thing. We always want evolution and, musically, to become more and more brutal.”

"With the pandemic no music was allowed on stages so after some personal decisions I had time to do MY album.

I also play in 3 bands: Extreme Unction, Els Focs Negres and Perpetrator, also played with heavy metal maniacs SABATAN and satanic speed metalers OMISSION from Spain did the solos for 3 DECAYED albums and was a live session guitar player for FILII NIGRANTIUM INFERNALIUM.

I wanted to do an instrumental album with an orchestra, all the music that you will listen was supposed to be instrumental, but after some months waiting for the orchestrations, from 3 different guys I decided to ask my friend Lino who also sings in a tribute Iron Maiden band Iron Beast and also with the UK based band AIRFORCE to sing in the album.

The album will be released on March 20, 2022, the next equinox with or without a label. Because I want that date and that´s it, this is a one-man project but if there is help from the public this might be a live band. I invited João Ventura from THE LIMIT / Dawnrider to play the drums and asked my friend Rick Thor to write some wonderful lyrics, all the artwork photos taken by me.

Musically expect a mix of Candlemass and Iron Maiden , about the lyrics, are all small little stories each has a concept that leads to a deadly sin. The album has 7 songs 7 deadly sins "

US/Georgia Death Metal blasphemers FATHER BEFOULED return with a brand new full length!

9 hymns of pure, relentless and obscure Death Metal destruction with which the band brings its formula of darkness into new threatening territories: more abrasive, more riff driven, more brutal!

Formed in 2006, FATHER BEFOULED play unholy and desolate death metal.

After some demo tracks online garnered interest, in 2008 the band released the Ep "Profano ad Regnum" and the band began playing regional shows in the US. A full length, "Obscurus Nex Cultus" quickly followed and after more shows and a couple of split releases, the band signed to Relapse Records for the release of "Morbid Destitution of Covenant" in 2010.

The band laid low for a couple of years before playing the inaugural Martyrdoom Festival in New York in 2012, which coincided with the release of their third full length, "Revulsion of Seraphic Grace" on Dark Descent Records. 2015 saw the release of "Enthroning Desolation" (a compilation of demo, split, live, and rare tracks) and a short tour of the East Coast. In 2017 the band headlined the Blood of the Wolf Festival in Lexington, Kentucky, as well as a performance at Maryland Deathfest to celebrate the release of their fourth album "Desolate Gods." The band embarked on their first European tour in May of 2019, releasing an EP, "Holy Rotten Blood," and capping off with a performance at the Netherlands Deathfest.

2022 will see the release of their 5th album “Crowned in Veneficum” through Everlasting Spew Records, a 9-song paean to the poisonous raptures of death metal and unholy blasphemy. A 2022 European tour is also in the works with a stop at the now-twice postponed Killtown Deathfest in Copenhagen, Denmark.
