Two Years after the successful and highly praised debut album The Funeral Pyre that took the the underground scene by surprise, and received high praise from critics all over the world! With its unique mix of elements of Black Thrash, Pagan and Speed metal.

KVAEN dominated the underground scene and had the audience in a firm grip, today still the album continues to hold a special place for many, with the new album titled "The Great Below" Kvaen has taken everything to the max and created a follow up even more grand than its debut, the blades are sharpened and the sound is bigger than ever. The Great below is a sophomore album you'll only hear once your in life time. Building on the sound developed on the Funeral Pyre but taking everything to new levels with a monster of 8 tracks, this time accompanied by drummer Tommi Tuhkala whom also serves as the live drummer for the band, but the album dosen't stop surpassing there, we have some special guests on both solos and vocal duets, Mike Weed, Sebastian (Battle) Angus Norder, Nephente, even guest work by Finnish folk metal vocalist Vreth of Finntroll ending the piece with The Fire Within Him Burns.

FOUL BODY AUTOPSY RELEASE "SHADOWS WITHOUT LIGHT: PART TWO"

In October of 2021 Tom Reynolds released the first part of his latest, most ambitious Foul Body Autopsy project to date. Shadows Without Light Part One was the opening EP in a trilogy of releases that would see Tom chart his own course through grief and bereavement, challenging himself and pushing at the boundaries of his music in the process. Now it is time for the journey to continue, as Shadows Without Light Part Two is revealed...

As with the first part of the Shadows... trilogy, Shadows Without Light Part Two features three interpretations of a single track – the titular Shadows Without Light Part Two. The first version of the song is a storm of incisive, surgical riffing and raw, emotive vocals, all touched with magnificent, melancholic melodies. This track shows the continued evolution of Foul Body Autopsy into a state of the art melodic death metal band. Following on from this stunning beginning Tom then applies a Synth Wave Remix to the song, which abandons his traditionally riff based approach completely and heads into more hypnotic, atmospheric territories altogether. Finally the two incarnations of Shadows Without Light Part 2 collide, entwine and coalesce to form a third – the Hybrid Remix – completing another chapter in this brave and exciting endeavour.

Once again Tom has turned to producer Russ Russell (Amorphis, At The Gates, Napalm Death etc) to bring his songs to life and Arif Rot (Wormrot etc) to create the stunning artwork that reaches deep into the troubled soul of the music. Shadows Without Light Part Two builds beautifully upon the foundations laid by ...Part One and on May 1st we continue on this remarkable journey through the long, dark night of loss.

The project was created in 2013 in Manizales, city of the Eje Cafetero, cradle of extreme metal in Colombia. Their material has been released by the most important record labels in Colombia: Brutalized Records and Hatewoks, played shows in cities around their country and Ecuador and in some of the most important metal festivals in their region. The band was elected as openers for prominent acts as Destruction, Tim Ripper Owens, The Haunted, Pungent Stench. Their material has been mixed and mastered by important musical producers in the international metal scene as Tomas Sogsberg and Andy Classen and their only professional video was directed by the most important horror director in Colombia Juan Diego Escobar. From the beginning THE SCUM has been strongly influenced by the horror genre in films and literature and the sounds of old school death metal. They have released an EP in 2015 called “Self-Destructive Race”, a debut album entitled “Ashen” in 2018 that was mixed by Tomas Skogsberg in Sunlight studios and an EP also mixed by Tomas Skogsberg and mastered at Stage One Studio by Andy Classen named “Dead Eyes” (2020). Guest vocal was by Dave Ingram (Benediction). A video was made for the title track of the EP “Dead Eyes” directed by Colombian most important horror director Juan Diego Escobar. New album “The Hunger” mixed again in Sunlight Studios.
