Mixed and mastered by Tom MacLean (Twelve Tone Studio, Haken, Athemon, Brutta), "Beyond The Sleepless Aether" features seven paryalzing sounds of technical metal created by the Sudbury, ON recording line up of Aaron Barriault (Vocals, Guitar, Bass), Devin McQueen (Vocals, Guitar), and Dan Favot (Drums)(ex-Wolven Ancestry, ex-Fractal Generator).

Similar to the band's predecessor, their 2020 self-titled full-length, "Beyond The Sleepless Aether," is once again based in fiction and is lyrically conceptual, but dives more into thoughts and emotions of everyday life, and sometimes those thoughts are hard to deal with. It's progressive, experimental, foreboding, and emotional; every song has its own identity and place within the album's story, taking its protagonist through the multiverse, placing him in places like dark wooded forests, wide open desert landscapes, and the unending cosmos.

"I think the fans who have heard our previous album may be a bit surprised; the sound of this album is a bit different; it's a little bit more experimental in its way. Either way, we hope that fans enjoy what we've created. I feel like the listener may have feelings of uneasiness and wonder. An odd combination, but I feel like it's fitting," adds Aaron Barriault – Vocals, Guitar, Bass.

HORRENDA RELEASE NEW SINGLE "NUN´S TEARS"

Irish blackened extreme metal force HORRENDA has released their searing new single "Nun’s Tears", the final harbinger of chaos before the arrival of their anticipated full-length album, Think On Your Sins, out May 9th via Fiadh Productions.

A tortured invocation drenched in religious decay, "Nun’s Tears" distills the band’s signature blend of raw black metal filth, death-laced fury, and nihilistic punk vitriol into a track that feels like a cathedral set ablaze. Shrieking guitars scrape against walls of blast beats, while Arron "Nomad" O'Shaughnessy channels anguish and blasphemy in equal measure,  a vocal performance equal parts exorcism and execution.

Frontman Darragh "Outis" O'Connor states, “"Nun’s Tears” is dark, raw, and unapologetic ballad, one of our heaviest tracks to date. The video plunges into Gustave Doré’s haunting vision of Dante’s nine circles of Hell, as Horrenda and Roman poet Virgil guide you through corrupt institutions, crises of faith, and the blackened depths of human nature."

OPHIOLATRY RELEASE VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE "DEATH TOUR"

Brazilian extreme metal outfit Ophiolatry has released a new music video, “Death Tour”, the first single from their upcoming album “Serpent's Verdict”, due June 6, 2025, via Wormholedeath Records. This latest visual offering is inspired by Greek mythology, depicting the journey of a fallen warrior's soul through the realm of death. As the spirit is carried across the River Styx, it approaches the gates of Hades, where the warrior's tribe awaits his arrival, welcoming him into the afterlife. They comment further on the single and the video:

"The warrior perished, part of his body bathed in the blood of the unworthy. He doesn't beg. He doesn't hesitate. The ancestors whisper his name as his spirit ascends, enveloped in the smoke of rituals. The witches dance around the burning fire, invoking Charon's presence. The coins reflect in his lifeless eyes, an offering to the boatman. From the depths of Lake Styx. The serpent rises, its coils moving like time itself. As he breathes, the warrior's confusion dissolves into clarity. He steps onto the distant shore, where his tribe awaits him in reverent silence. There are no words; They are not necessary. They were already waiting to cross the gates of Hades together; The end is just the beginning."

“Death Tour” represents a sonic evolution for Ophiolatry, balancing their technical prowess with a more atmospheric, tribally influenced approach to extreme metal. The video clip amplifies these themes through striking imagery that merges Greek Mythology with the brutality of modern death metal aesthetics.

Each track on “Serpent's Verdict” functions as part of an immersive narrative experience. It is an invocation of the past and a battle cry for the future. With the release of “Death Tour,” Ophiolatry continues to build anticipation for the full album, which promises to be one of the most devastating extreme metal releases of 2025. A new entity has crawled from the boiling swamps that lie in the deepest recesses of the death metal underworld. A force of terrifying alien power and chilling otherness that is about to bleed insidiously into our reality. Axiom Chaos have fused the devastating impact of death metal with the untameable capricious might of pandemonium and invoked the strange, compelling visions of Primacy Arrival! Beginning with the lurching monstrosity of ‘The King I Am’ that erupts into fetid, pustulent life, guitars howling over the deranged whispering of deformed divinities, Primacy Arrival proceeds to tear your reality to tattered shreds. TORANAGA U.K. RELEASE NEW EP "A NEW ORDER"

Formed in 1985, Toranaga were at the forefront of the UK thrash scene, releasing two of the movement’s most impressive and important albums – Bastard Ballads for Peaceville Records in 1988 and God’s Gift for major label Chrysalis Records in 1990. However, despite the critical acclaim garnered by both albums and successful tours with the likes of Manowar, Venom, Saxon, Annihilator and more, the band split with Chrysalis in ’91 and everything came to a halt. Various versions of Toranaga appeared over the years, with The Bastard Son Of Toranaga releasing an EP in 2011 and an album in 2013, but after that the story seemed to have reached its end…until now! Original and ever present Toranaga vocalist Mark Duffy has assembled a new team of talented musicians and under the banner Toranaga U.K. they are about to unleash an outstanding four track EP – A New Order!

A New Order features two new songs and two Toranaga classics, re-recorded and re-energised. The new songs – opener ‘Desecration’ and title track ‘A New Order’ – completely capture the original spirit of Toranaga, with deft and dextrous riffing, scorching solos, immersive atmosphere, great melodies and choruses and Mark Duffy’s inimitable vocals, their power undiminished by the passage of time. They sit perfectly alongside the gleaming new renditions of ‘The Shrine’ and ‘Sword Of Damocles’ from the God’s Gift album. The band were never fully satisfied with the sound on God’s Gift and here two of its finest songs have at long last been given the cutting edge they were not afforded in their original incarnation. Bringing together the past and the future, A New Order is a timely reminder of just what a remarkable band Toranaga were and gives a tantalising glimpse of how much Toranaga U.K. still have to offer.

The vibrant, forceful sound on A New Order was captured for the band by producer and composer Steve Kilpatrick at his Soundfackery studios in France. Steve has worked for BBC Radio, Channel 4, the London Olympics, on feature films and many other diverse and fascinating projects – with all that experience helping to bring out the very best from Toranaga U.K.’s A New Order. The "Ember Remains" EP continues the natural progression and presents a darker and heavier landscape that Northvoid paints with their music. After the debut EP released in 2022 and the three independent single releases that followed, the band takes another step towards the musical style that it has strived for throughout its existence.

The core of the EP is formed around a foundation created by heavy guitars and bass and

drums. The whole is united by a vocals that moves more and more towards a traditional death metal style. The album's entirety is supported by a soundscape playing in the background, created with keyboards, depicting northern melancholy. Overall, the EP gives a picture of the band's development and presents the band's current style and gives guidelines for the future.
