Russian death metal juggernauts Monastery Dead have unleashed their brand-new music video for “Raptophilia”, taken from their 2024 full-length Ego Sum Dolor. The track delivers the band’s signature blend of traditional death metal brutality and modern technical precision, striking a brutal chord for fans of Bloodbath, Misery Index, and Jungle Rot.

Formed in 2004 by bassist Vadim Nikolaev, Monastery Dead have cemented a formidable reputation on the global extreme metal stage with four full-length albums, multiple singles, and videos, touring across Russia and beyond. They’ve shared stages with legends such as Haemorrhage, Dying Fetus, Debauchery, Benighted, Unleashed, and Impaled Nazarene, proving their live power time and again.

The “Raptophilia” video, directed by Alexander Korsak of Black Line Films, matches the track’s unrelenting ferocity with striking visuals exploring human suffering, existential torment, and self-destruction. Recorded at BuzzyLick Studio with Ivan Dmitriev, and mixed and mastered by Dmitry Kim, this latest visual assault reaffirms Monastery Dead as one of Russian death metal’s most dominant forces.

Multi-international melodic death metal outfit Til The End have released a new video and single for “I’m Falling Apart”. A bonus track will be accompanied, a cover of the Journey classic “Separate Ways”!  This is the first preview of the group's new self titled album which is due out this spring.

Formed in 2023, Til The End features the talents of vocalist Antony Hämäläinen (Nightrage, Armageddon), guitar virtuoso Kostas Sotos (Mystic Prophecy, Crystal Tears), drummer Márton Veress (Orgy, Armageddon), and bassist/rhythm guitarist Nic Svensson (Slaves For Scores, Swede Studios).

HELLDRIFTER RELEASE "SHELL OF INEXISTENCE"

Stuttgart, Germany – The wait is over! German Melodic Death Metal juggernaut Helldrifter has officially released their highly anticipated new album Shell of Inexistence via Violent Creek Records , now available worldwide on all digital platforms!

As a final preview before the full release, the band has dropped a lyric video for their latest and last single, “Martyrs Of A Dying Age” – now streaming at: YouTube

Opening the album, “Martyrs Of A Dying Age” catapults listeners into Helldrifter’s dystopian vision of nuclear doom. With an atmospheric intro and pummeling execution, the track sets a dark tone, lyrically painting images of despair and the collapse of civilization.

This comes on the heels of their previous singles, including the crushing “Suicide Strike” , a ferocious composition that channels the chaos of a suicide bomber through guttural grooves and intense riffage reminiscent of Cannibal Corpse’s Evisceration Plague and Morbid Angel’s God of Emptiness .

Additionally, Helldrifter recently unleashed the official video for “Reckoning In Blood” , a brutal visual assault highlighting their signature blend of aggressive precision and apocalyptic themes.

LEVIATHAN A.C. RELEASE "GOD´S FAILURE"

Leviathan A.C was spawned from the dark streets of Venezuela in 1999. Rooted in primordial obscurity and guided by blasphemy, the band forged four discographic productions through years of relentless rehearsals, chaos, and underground rituals. One of these releases, “God’s End Is the Path”, was issued by the Colombian label Manitu Records in 2005, while bestial live performances took place across various stages in Venezuela and Colombia.

In 2009, Leviathan A.C signed with the Swedish label Salute Records, releasing its fourth full-length album, which had already been completed in 2006, Through the Unholy Rules We Shall Rise—a work that pushed the band’s vision forward through stronger compositional arrangements while firmly reinforcing its path within the most raw and hostile territories of Black Metal.

Following the relocation of Nebirus (vocals / guitar) to Spain, Leviathan A.C entered a prolonged period of silent incubation. Years of perseverance, devotion, and compositional fermentation led to the rebirth of the project in 2024 with the EP “The Rise of Leviathan”. Recorded at Bohinum Home Studio in collaboration with Rey Vaj, the EP delivers four tracks of impious, oppressive, and blasphemous Black Metal, deliberately reviving the filth and violence of the band’s earliest era while achieving a solid and uncompromising sound.

In the present cycle, Leviathan completed the album “God’s Failure”, scheduled for release on January 23, 2026, through a joint alliance between Vacula Productions (Ukraine), Artes Negras Prods (Uruguay), and Impaled Records (Brazil), later expanding the contamination into Mexico through Nekromanthra Records.

With the new lineup, Leviathan A.C prepares for a new phase of live manifestations. The band’s intent is absolute: to channel devotion and blasphemy into suffocating stage atmospheres, invoking a hostile and ritualistic presence, and delivering Black Metal in its most personal form—unfiltered and charged with contempt.

“God’s Failure” is not an album; it is the sound of the collapse of divinity—a ritual of negation where faith rots and only blasphemy remains: a ceremonial execution of the God of Abraham.

Forged in the confusion and anxiety of the global pandemic in 2020 and then tempered in the flames of tragedy and the cold ice of loss when their friend and founding member, Jeroen van Donselaar, collapsed on stage in 2022, struck down by a fatal cardiac arrest – Utrecht’s Beyond The Pale emerged from adversity unbowed and unbroken. With a renewed sense of purpose, they recruited former Martyr guitarist Geoffrey Maas and set about honouring the memory of their fallen comrade. The Monument In Time EP was released independently in The Netherlands in 2024, featuring an array of Jeroen’s accomplished guitar riffs, but this release deserved more. Now, with the backing of new British label, Black Metal Archives, Monument In Time – with two bonus tracks that have never been released on any physical format before – will find its way to a global metal audience. This tribute to friendship and the power of metal, this searing attack of thrash and melodic death metal, will carve the name of Beyond The Pale into the annals of extreme music forever.

Monument In Time explodes into life with the precision riffing of ‘Liberation For The Damned’ – a finely honed thrash/death weapon with every element fiercely focussed; from the interlocked twin guitars to the prominent bass lines that subtly weave their way through the axe attack, the powerhouse drumming to the stunning, ferocious vocal presence of Janneke de Rooy (ex-Altar). The essence of Beyond The Pale is summed up in this opening fusillade, but each song that follows possesses an individual character that adds immeasurably to Monument In Time’s vehement and venomous delivery. Be it the atmospheric intro and irresistible refrain of ‘Walk The Plank’, the power, hook-filled and instantly addictive ‘Facts And Figures’ or the viciously intense thrashing fervour of ‘Payback Is A Bitch’, with its touches of melodic lead adding an extra dimension, Beyond The Pale crush with every song, every note, every venomously articulated word of imperious rage.

The two bonus tracks that have been added to the track list of Monument In Time are the original 2021 recording of the band’s first single, ‘Storm en Drift’ – a song that appears in a re-recorded form elsewhere on the EP – and a reimagining of the thundering ‘Facts And Figures’, remixed by Japanese artist Frost (Gods Of Decay, Godfrost). Frost has added gleaming circuitry and bionic enhancements to the monstrous original and ‘Facts And Figures’ is a track with the strength to emerge from this invasive surgery still bristling with malicious intent, but with a new horror-tinged atmosphere infused into its bones.

Engineered and mixed by the team at Mass Audio Studios in Utrecht and mastered by the renowned Tony Lindgren (Amorphis, Arch Enemy, Insomnium, Kreator etc) at Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden, the sound that has been captured on Monument In Time is exceptional – with clarity, a cutting edge and formidable force all accorded equal importance. A fitting tribute to the much-missed Jeroen van Donselaar and a titanic barrage of expertly blended thrash and melodic death metal, Monument In Time is about to receive the release it deserves through Black Metal Archives on January 30th.

Orchid Throne consists solely of Nicholas Bonsanto (Lör, Empress, Helianthus, Barren) who performs the music, as well as producing, mixing and mastering the album.

After nearly 17 years of playing supporting roles in various bands, Nicholas Bonsanto (Lör, Empress, Helianthus, Barren) is proud to make his debut as a solo artist as the man behind Orchid Throne. Bonsanto not only wrote and performed all of the music for Buried in Black, but also produced, mixed, and mastered the album.

While not a concept album, Buried in Black weaves themes of anxiety, depression, fear of death, and the search for life’s meaning throughout its lyrics. The title describes both the music itself and the feelings that Bonsanto has kept buried within for years. It may sound bleak, but what is buried in black will be set free and brought to light on January 9.

“This album is a long time coming for me,” said Bonsanto. “For more than a decade, I collected little recordings of ideas in the hope that one day they’d be useful. I could not be more proud of myself for how the album came out and for all of the things I have learned along the way.”

“As a musician performing in bands since I was 16, people who know me have seen me play a supportive role, and hear my musical contributions to my bands. But not everyone knows that I have always dreamed of releasing a record of my own. I am passionate about all kinds of music, and while I love playing in my current bands, doom metal is a big love that I long felt like I had no outlet for. 

“While I’ve honed my songwriting abilities over the years, I began this project with zero knowledge of how to produce a record on my own. I introduced Orchid Throne to the world one year ago on my birthday with only one song done. Over the past year, I have finished writing, recording, and producing my entire debut record. I have finally achieved this goal and it's even better than I ever imagined it could be. It means so much to me to get this out there, to truly reflect who I am as an artist, and I’m already excited to create more.”
