Kentucky's Doom laden Sludge lords, HIGHGATE, have released "Death Comes," the second single from forthcoming album, Prophecies of Eternal Horror! Stream it now on Bandcamp and YouTube.

Emanating from the hills of Northern Kentucky, HIGHGATE unleash a Sludge filled, Doom laden yowl that speaks of years of struggle and despair. Prophecies Of Eternal Horror finds the dead bodies stacking to the sky as HIGHGATE grapple with global war atrocities, religious fanaticism and class warfare.

HIGHGATE previously shared the album's first single, "At Paranoia’s Poison Door." The song is described as a blackened-doom battle cry against an overreaching government that wants us too scared to think or act for ourselves. Formed in Kent in 2022, a murky, anguished blight upon the so-called ‘Garden Of England’, Iron Slug have become an established presence on the UK’s doom scene. With a single-minded sense of intent and an array of irresistible riffs they have pounded their way into the consciousness of those drawn to the low, slow and oppressive. After two coruscating EPs – 2024s Debauched And Bored and Unrepentant Grin – both warmly received by fans and critics alike, the band are now ready to unveil their full-length debut of unrepentant doom. Featuring five mammoth tracks of backbreaking heaviness that each seem to stretch out into eternity, but at the same time never feel a second too long, Deceit And Misery has arrived.

The album begins with the seething, menacing guitars of ‘A Calming Turmoil’, the song gathering itself in a slow building of purpose, before settling into a relentless, methodical groove. When the strong, imposing vocals arrive their measured, melodic timbre adds a sense of gravitas that just increases the momentous weight of the music. ‘Love Retires Under Night’ descends in an avalanche of Sabbath-style riffing and gradually digs down deeper into the darkness than Iron Slug’s progenitors ever delved. This is raw, sludge-touched doom, stripped of all artifice, flayed to the bone and bleeding bitter emotion; its hypnotic, grinding heaviness carrying you to the indistinct boundaries between the waking world and the void of dreamless sleep. First single, ‘Graceless Bodies’ and the stunning ‘Die The Same’ follow, both lifted to new heights by superb vocal performances – steeped in soulful melody and a hint of the desert’s endless dust. All of which leads us beneath the hammer of ‘Ritualistic Feeding’, a bleak, shuddering leviathan of a track whose every chord, drum beat and fiercely enunciated syllable is delivered with meaning and might. Deceit And Misery is a bellowed statement of intent, a giant stride taken and a revelation of both immediate power and burgeoning potential. Iron Slug have arrived, in no uncertain terms.

Produced by long-term collaborator Jason Frye (Allfather, Jøtnarr, Erth Altr etc), Deceit And Misery sounds gritty and textured, tactile yet abrasive and imbued with rich depth of spirit. Faded Remembrance is a one-man Atmospheric Doom/Death/Gothic metal musical project founded in 2020, located in Győr, Hungary.

The music is supported by trumpet, trombone and synth. The rhythm of play is slow-mid tempo (60-150) using 4/4, 3/4, 6/8, 6/4 time signatures. The vocals have clean and harsh parts as well. Tuning is standard D and very distorted rhythm guitars and bass, the clean and solo guitars have an atmospheric tonality.

The songs have lots of melody inside but also the trumpet, trombone and synth can add some bitter-sweet tonality to them.

The lyrics are about human nature, inner struggles, faith, existence, emotions and nature, they are more poems than just simple lyrics.

Splendidula is an atmospheric black doom metal band from Belgium, active since 2008. Rising from decades of West Coast metal lineage, Vancouver, BC's Gravemass erupts today with the release of their highly anticipated debut album, "This Is The Way." Formed by veterans of some of Vancouver’s most ferocious and influential metal outfits, Gravemass arrives fully armed, fully realized, and fully committed to sonic destruction.

​Featuring members from Zimmers Hole, Punch Drunk, 3 Inches of Blood, Revocation, Just Cause, West of Hell, Savannah, Process, Subversion, and The Golers, Gravemass is less a new band and more a convergence of long‑standing forces. Their collective experience, over 30 years in the Vancouver metal trenches, has forged a sound that is unapologetically brutal, relentlessly fast, and steeped in darkness.

​According to guitarist Mayan Hate, who wrote the music for the debut album over a concentrated two‑month period, the project came together naturally among longtime friends.

​​“We’re all West Coast metal heads who’ve known each other for decades. I wrote the music between breaks in other projects and showed it to Lorde Heathen. He immediately wanted in. From there, we recruited the rest of the band, guys we’ve all known forever,” adds guitarist Mayan Hate.

When asked to describe the band’s sound in five words, vocalist Lorde Heathen doesn’t hesitate:

“Brutal, angry, fast, dark, evil. If you like brutal… You will dig it,”

The album delivers exactly that. "This Is The Way" is a barrage of sinister riffing, death‑metal vocal ferocity, and an unrelenting rhythmic assault. It’s the culmination of decades of shared history and a unified desire to push extremity to its limits. Lyrical inspiration comes from the world’s current state of chaos.

“All the lyrics come from the shit‑hole world order that exists right now,” says Lorde Heathen.

​While the debut album’s music was written entirely by Mayan Hate with lyrics by Lorde Heathen, the band confirms that their second album is already in progress and will be a fully collaborative effort.

The band also recently confirmed they will perform at Loud As Hell Open Air Festival 2026, joining a stacked lineup featuring Fallujah, Allegaeon, Summoning the Lich, Crimson Shadows, Edge of Paradise, and more. The night’s work is done. He stands in silence, the sweat of exertion mingling with the blood that coats his face, hands and clothes. The passion, the anger, the lust and the excitement has all drained away, like pus from a lanced boil. It’s time to lift the floorboards and open the mausoleum…time to tip the latest faceless bundle of guts and gore, bone, bile and bruised flesh into the darkness; there to lie in the stench and the rot, in quiet communion with those who have gone before. At least she won’t be alone. They have each other…and the worms.

More than thirteen years on from the release of their horrifying debut album, Excruciating Intestinal Lacerations, the UK’s heaviest and sickest exponents of shocking brutality are back with a new assault on morality, enlightenment and good taste… Engorgement have returned, with They Rot Beneath Our Floor!

The nightmare begins with ‘Prelude To Your Dismemberment’, which leads us down a spiral staircase into darkness. We know that nothing good awaits us in that impenetrable murk, but locked in the dream sequence we cannot stop our descent…and as we reach the bottom step the world explodes. ‘Keep Festering’ erupts like a spray of arterial blood – pain, violence, animalistic vocals over bludgeoning riffs and mercilessly methodical drums. ‘Rot Beneath Our Floor’ follows with cataclysmic blasts, sluggish crawls through offal and deliberate, punching riffs – the different stages of slaughter and dissection delivered with a thrilling intensity.
