30 YEARS AGO: BLACK SABBATH RELEASE "TYR"

On August 20th, 1990, the godfathers of metal BLACK SABBATH released their majestic album "Tyr". The album was the third to feature the powerful Tony Martin on vocals and, besides the omniprescent riffmaster Tony Iommi, it shows the talent of the rhythm section created by Cozy Powell on drums and Neil Murray on bass. At the same time this was also the last album to feature Tony Martin´s voice (at least until the "Cross Purposes" album from 1994) before the reunion of the "Mob Rules" era BLACK SABBATH line up featuring Ronnie James Dio on vocals and Vinny Appice on drums. "Tyr" was recorded and mixed February - June 1990 at Rockfield and Woodcray Studios, Berkshire. A video for the track "Feels Good to Me" was released (you can check it below).
