The Italian band is known for their crushing blend of frantic extremity, mixing grindcore, sludge and hard rock with pulp and cinema-inspired lyrics. “Black Cowslip” is the fourth full-length of RABID DOGS.
Recorded, mixed and mastered at Kick Recording Studio in Rome between September 2020 and March 2021, “Black Cowslip” sounds as a well balanced mix of extreme metal, sludge and filthy rock ‘n’ roll, marking a big step forward for the band that over the years have managed to develop a personal sound slowly moving away from the more obvious grindcore influences of the earlier records.
The album displays a wide range of catchy riffs that meets furious d-beat rides, freezing growls scratched by bluesy harp solos, stoned melodies that broaden towards a doomy black despair.
