Sagenrijk invites people to tell each other stories from the region in the dark days. The winter interpretation of the album version leans stylistically on Dead Can Dance, Loreena McKennitt and Clannad.
Hailing from the mythic heart of the Veluwe, the Dutch duo Alvenrad offers a fresh blend of folk-influenced heavy metal. Alvenrad is a free Dutch translation of a kenning for the sun used in the Edda, approximately wheel of the elves.
This release is in honor of the Veluwian artist Gustaaf van de Wall Perné . Released on his death anniversary December 27.
