Northvoid, the Finnish metal band, has recently unveiled their latest single, "Of Northland". This independent release serves as a follow-up to their debut EP, "Echoes From North," which was launched in November 2022.
The single showcases a blend of melodic vocal melodies and a collaboration of guitars, bass, and drums, paying tribute to the early death metal style. The track's soundscape is set against a backdrop of northern melancholy, enhanced by the keyboards playing in the background. The intro and outro of the song are inspired by Finland's nature, history, and yearning for the wilderness, with a delicate melody that sets the tone. The song's first section sets the stage for the massive second part, while the third part fades out.
"Of Northland" represents the band's musical passion for their roots, their home region, and their musical history, crystallizing the idea of the band's existence.
