KVELDSTIMER Release Physical Edition of Scripture of the Woods

Album Out Now on Alte Seelen

The debut album from old-school black metal duo KVELDSTIMER is now available on CD via Alte Seelen. Scripture of the Woods delivers a sound that harkens back to the early 90s Norwegian scene.

Upon first viewing, the band's name, cover art, and logo, might give one reason to assume this is simply a blatant Sort Vokter ripoff. On the contrary, this debut mini album is a definite nod to the former legendary ‘necro’ act, but the music within has a certain vibe that serves as a tribute of sorts while standing on its own merits. Thus, Scripture of the Woods will surely appeal to fans of such legendary acts as the aforementioned Sort Vokter, as well as Ildjarn and the early works of Gorgoroth, while maintaining a primitive sound and style all their own.

Comprised of two prolific musicians, Azeruel Woldaeg and Collier d'ombre,

KVELDSTIMER delivers seven tracks of primitive, yet majestic, old-school black metal. The atmosphere and striking execution conjure whispers of the early 90's Norwegian scene!
