The lyrics of "Rotten" were inspired by the daily horrors of millions of innocent people dying in wars because of human stupidity, while those interested sit in their comfortable homes, sipping champagne and deciding their fate. Nothing could be more appropriate than to bring the human factor into the music video and show the atmosphere of chaos and energy of a Sacrifix show!

"The crowd was amazing. It was a lot of fun. Everyone got into the chaos vibe", said Filippe Tonini. "On the day we filmed it, we felt like a real concert because we shot the footage while the band was playing live, no lip-syncing, just pure intensity", added Diego Domingos. "I felt like I was officially debuting as a Sacrifix drummer. The videographers were excellent, the crowd was hyped, friends, fans, it was very special for me", concluded Fábio Moysés.

Leader Frank proudly commented on the final result of "Rotten": "It was difficult at first because we were trying to lip-sync the music, but we're neither actors nor a lip-sync band. So we just turned everything on and chaos ensued. We just have to thank everyone who was involved, especially Cátia from the Bolivian Rock Cultural Institute for giving us the space to do our 'Toxic Waltz' (laughs)."

"Killing Machine", like its previous release "World Decay 19", has been highly acclaimed by the Brazilian and international press. Available on all digital platforms, the album is also sold on physical CD through partnerships with Impaled Records, Sangue Underground Records, Gerunda Produções, Artes Negras, Rocketz Records, Cossoco Records and Gate Of Doom Records.

According to Sacrifix 2020's founding premise, the band's sound is and always will be old-school, heavy, chaotic, cruel and devastating. "We want to respect the origins of Thrash Metal, keep the trendsetters awake and keep the grown-ups separated from the kids", concludes Frank.

“The Spawn of Lycaon” is the savage new single from Oakland, California-based blackened thrash metal crew PHANTASMAL ABYSS. The song is now premiering exclusively at No Clean Singing. Stream it HERE.

Born from the simmering cauldron of Oakland, California's death metal scene, PHANTASMAL ABYSS was started by guitarist and front woman Dara Santhai (ex-Serpent Crown, Larvae) and drummer Todd Wilkinson. Pulling from their shared interest in all things extreme metal, they blend a lethal dose of blackened thrash, melodic-death, and the occasional foray into black 'n roll.

Dara Santhai's otherworldly vocals call from the dark like a banshee roaming an abandoned abbey, while Wilkinson’s pummeling beats provide the barbaric foundation for Santhai's brutal riffage and scathing leads.

Far from being a band who sits on their collective asses, PHANTASMAL ABYSS spent the pandemic honing their venomous first strike, the aptly titled “Visions of the Abyss” which features Andrew O’Neil (Mondo Drag) on bass. Engineered, mixed, and mastered by Greg Wilkinson in the legendary Earhammer Studios, “Visions of the Abyss” is six tracks of searing extreme metal inspired by retro horror, chilling Lovecraftian myth, and grisly true crime.

Considering their relatively short time together, PHANTASMAL ABYSS has already shared the stage with some of the underground's leading up and coming bands: Wayfarer, Bewitcher, Nite, Death Cave, and Yatra to name a few, while simultaneously executing their first DIY west coast tour in the spring of 2022.

In 2023 PHANTASMAL ABYSS was joined by Rafael Martinez (Black Cobra, 16, Acid King) on bass as they went on the road to support the physical release of their album “Visions from Abyss”.

The band has recently recorded the single “The Spawn of Lycaon”, which was mostly self recorded, with some help from recording engineer Scot Proctor, and mastered again at Earhammer. This recording captures a more raw and live sound of the band.

HANDS OF GORO formed in November 2016 with the shared desire to strike fear of the infamous half-man/half-dragon into the heart of humanity. As society slowly re-emerged from pandemic life, HANDS OF GORO set about simply recording two songs in the summer of 2021. Between unearthing old numbers and writing new ones though, the planned humble seven-inch grew into a menacing full-length, which now arrives as the band’s eponymous debut album. The eight songs on Hands Of Goro thunder with elements of anthemic, epic, traditional heavy metal with torrents of harmonized savagery and brief ventures into the likes of punk, classic rock, and more.

With evident intrinsic influence from their metal-fertile home region flowing through its veins, the beast writhes with a slightly whimsical originality that will attract a wide range of diehards from the more traditional realms of the heavy metal spectrum.

Technical death metal troupe COGNITIVE is back with Abhorrence, set for release on May 17th on Metal Blade Records.

The band's fifth full-length album and a tremendously worthy suc
cessor to 2021’s Malevolent Thoughts Of A Hastened Extinction, Abhorrence finds the New Jersey powerhouse quintet at its brutal best. Unrelenting riffs leave the listener stunned, while a wave of thoughtful, devastating lyrics washes over. The album is a raging, draining, and ultimately fulfilling experience.

COGNITIVE started work on Abhorrence while touring in support of Malevolent Thoughts Of A Hastened Extinction, sending tracks back and forth while trekking from one intense gig to the next. “There were riffs and ideas that didn't make Malevolent Thoughts...,” notes guitarist Rob Wharton. “We just kept toiling away with it. And then we recorded the ‘Rot Eternal’ single in between touring. So, it's been just nonstop writing.”

Drummer AJ Viana has his own studio (he’s previously worked with bands as prestigious as Hath) and recorded, tracked, and mixed the album, before Ryan Williams (The Black Dahlia Murder, John Frum) at Metal Blade Records mastered it. To the album’s immense benefit, it was a collaborative process, and everyone brought their A game.

Abhorrence is an exercise in aural turbulence, each track taking its listener on a magnificently traumatic journey. “Our lyrics for this record are all over the place,” says Wharton. “There's some stuff about video games and addiction and mental health. To me, that’s the kind of subject matter that hits home because everyone's got stuff going on in their lives. It's relatable.”

Relatable much like the album title itself. Peer at the state of the world in recent years and “abhorrence” seems like an entirely appropriate world. “We were going through all the song titles and wondering which is the strongest song,” Wharton says. “We decided to go with Abhorrence. Everyone's so mean and cruel to each other and the world is terrible. We just felt like it kind of encompassed everything. We had put a lot of time into that one specifically because there are so many repeating parts, but it was mostly about depression, anxiety attacks, and mental health.”

The title track also serves as the record’s opener and first single. Wharton elaborates, “‘Abhorrence’ is a groove-filled song with a melodic chorus. Heavily syncopated drums make every chug hit harder and harder. It’s a song filled with tension and aggressive vocal patterns screaming about anxiety, panic, and depression all at once.”
