About DELIRIA:

DELIRIA is an evocative post-black metal band from the San Francisco Bay Area formed in 2017 by David Scanlon (DAWN OF OUROBOROS). A fundamental critique of consciousness, the band crafts ordinary life in endogenous melancholia. Quickly joined by vocalist Adam Rupp (KILL THE MESSENGER), the duo sought drummer Jared Klein (RIVERS OF NIHIL) to record their debut album, Nausea. 

Inspired by existential dread, Rupp's tortured misery and Scanlon's somber melodies coalesce in bleak pessimism and gloomy aurorae. In 2018, the additions of guitarist Brent Rockwell (THE UNDYING) and Jade Forsythe (EMBRIUM) secured a live lineup, with DELIRIA performing alongside acts such as TYR, ULCERATE, and THE ZENITH PASSAGE. 

The band re-entered the studio in 2020 to record their second full-length album, Phantasm. Bolstered by Andrew Baird (FALLUJAH) on drums, DELIRIA expands its melancholic approach, this time highlighting its morbid and occult arrangements. DELIRIA's current lineup features the addition of drummer Brandon Clevenstine (SYMBOLIK). Together the quintet has gathered enthusiasm among fans of their influences, such as KATATONIA, BLUE ÖYSTER CULT, and FIELDS FO THE NEPHILIM.

KITSA is a rousing heavy rock act hailing from the salted aura of Port Orchard, Washington. Launched in 2022, the band's music is deeply rooted in weighty riffs, spanning various genres over several decades, with a deep nod to Pacific Northwest grunge.

With Elder, The Sword, Down, Alice In Chains, and Nazareth cited as some of their influences, the foursome of KITSA comprises members from eclectic bands, including Devilbilt, YEDD, Teepee Creeper, Pivot Point, Earthwreck, and Abused. In April 2023, KITSA released three incendiary live demo tracks recorded by Jeremy Deede and Tony Reed at Devils Child Records. 

Later in 2023, the band set out to record their full-length debut, 'Dead by Dawn.'  A melting pot of musical forces, the record features an assortment of sweet, sweeping vocal harmonies on the title track "Dead by Dawn," the live fan favorite "Journeyman," and a classic rock banger "Seeds of Famine." Dead by Dawn is transcended by hard-hitting muscled tracks like "She" and "Hate."

 "'Seeds of Famine' is a grungy, swampy heavy rock number with hints of Alice in Chains and Black Sabbath. Husky vocals from Skot Davis fall somewhere in the neighborhood of Kurt Windstein and Zakk Wylde. Lyrics reflect regret in the face of one’s mistakes, drowning sorrows in hard work, loud music, and a tall frothy beer."

The Dead By Dawn album was produced by the venerable Tony Reed, with all songs written by KITSA. Reed recorded, mixed, and mastered the album at APL and HeavyHead Recording Co. in October and November of 2023. The gifted Jerry Padilla and Rob Lorenz created the album's intimidating artwork.

KITSA's debut album is a formidable contender for the 2024 year. It boasts vigorous and versatile songs that showcase a combination of technical proficiency and artistic elegance that caters to many sorts of music enthusiasts.

The full-length Dead By Dawn was released on February 24th, and is available in digital and physical formats, including vinyl pressing through Music Abuse Records.

Formed in the late spring of 1984, Prime Evil has long been a staple of the New York underground metal scene, sharing stages with iconic acts such as Death, Morbid Angel, and Obituary. Their uncompromising approach to music, coupled with their raw intensity, has earned them a devoted following over the decades.

"Evilution X" pays homage to the band's rich history, featuring re-recordings of tracks from their seminal "Evilution" EP, alongside two new songs crafted specifically for this release. Vocalist Andy Eichhorn, guitarist Mike Usifer, and drummer Antonio Padilla (Teloch Vovin) have breathed new life into these classics, infusing them with a renewed sense of power and vigor.

Recording for "Evilution X" began in 2021, with plans for a 2022 release to coincide with the anniversaries of Prime Evil's pivotal moments. However, the project was temporarily derailed when guitarist Mike Usifer was diagnosed with cancer. After a period of treatment and recovery, Usifer rallied back, leading the band to complete the recordings in the summer of 2023.

"Evilution X" is a testament to Prime Evil's resilience and dedication to their craft. Produced, mixed, and mastered by Mike Usifer himself, the EP showcases the band's unwavering commitment to delivering uncompromising metal of the highest caliber.

Following the release of "Evilution X," Prime Evil is already hard at work on new material for their next full-length album, promising even more sonic onslaughts in the near future.
