Finnish thrashers Krushor released their debut EP 'Taste of Hatred' on January 9th 2026 via Inverse Records.

The band comments:

"The themes of the songs on EP are not the easiest to grasp, but they are extremely important! I have always wanted to write about my own experiences and the things happening around me, especially the negative things and mental struggles. It's kind of therapeutic to get the words down on paper first and then shout these themes out as loud as I can, maybe that's my way of dealing with difficult things. 

The process itself was very exciting. We did the recordings ourselves for the first time and got the necessary equipment for it. It wasn't the easiest way to do it, but we're happy with the result. There is always room for improvement, and that drives us forward. We want to learn new things and get better at these things too. Most of the actual recording was done by our guitarist Joni, and we owe him a big thank you for his time, effort, and perseverance in the name of "creativity." 

Next, we will focus on gigging, as long as we are blessed with gigs, and on writing new songs. Our goal is to make a whole album, which we also intend to record ourselves. The schedule is not rushed, so don't hold your breath just yet. Making the EP was a great process, we got what we wanted out of it and learned a lot through the process!"

BIOGRAPHY:

The band found its current identity through shared musical tastes, playing together, and a shared hobby. We are a group of people who enjoy making and playing music that works for all of us. A big part of this is that composing, writing lyrics, and editing songs is open to everyone. All songs and compositions are created by the whole group, not based on one person's vision or goal. 

Our influences definitely come from older metal, but that doesn't matter, because mixing genres actually adds a lot to our music; there's no one right way to do things. Krushor's goal is to make music that sounds good and at the same time talk about the difficult things that are part of life. For many people, music can be therapeutic, and if even one person feels that way about our music, we feel we have succeeded.

Italian heavy prog metallers Borrower are ready to unveil full details of their upcoming album “Killerdemons”, scheduled for release on February 13, 2026 in CD and Digital formats via Octopus Rising / Argonauta Records.

“Killerdemons” represents a decisive new step in the band’s creative evolution and stands as a direct continuation of the conceptual path introduced in 2018 with the EP “A Plague Chapter…”. The new album expands that vision into a darker and more articulated narrative, where music, imagery and storytelling merge into a single, coherent universe.

Recorded between December 2024 and May 2025 at Underhouse Studio in Presicce Acquarica Le and Aremstudio in Ruffano Le, the album was engineered by Roger Maglie, with additional recordings handled by Frank Formoso and Mass Ratano. The result is an intense and cinematic work that balances heavy progressive metal structures with sharp songwriting and a strong visual imagination.

Conceptually, “Killerdemons” tells the story of the birth and existence of a squad of humanoid demons. Each entity is defined by precise physical traits and armed with its own specific weapon. The album consists of eight tracks, and each song focuses on a different demon, giving shape to a broader saga that is meant to evolve beyond music alone.

Borrower envision “Killerdemons” as a multi layered project. Following the album release, each character may be further developed not only musically, but also visually and within the entertainment sphere, embracing graphics, videos and potentially interactive media.

The previously released single “Dream on Fire” offered a first glimpse into this universe. Now the band is ready to push the narrative further with the next visual chapter, “El Degollador”, whose official video will deepen the dark mythology behind the album.

Orchid Throne is set to release Buried in Black on January 9, 2026! The project consists solely of Nicholas Bonsanto (Lör, Empress, Helianthus, Barren) who performs the music, as well as producing, mixing and mastering the album.

After nearly 17 years of playing supporting roles in various bands, Nicholas Bonsanto (Lör, Empress, Helianthus, Barren) is proud to make his debut as a solo artist as the man behind Orchid Throne. Bonsanto not only wrote and performed all of the music for Buried in Black, but also produced, mixed, and mastered the album.

While not a concept album, Buried in Black weaves themes of anxiety, depression, fear of death, and the search for life’s meaning throughout its lyrics. The title describes both the music itself and the feelings that Bonsanto has kept buried within for years. It may sound bleak, but what is buried in black will be set free and brought to light on January 9.

“This album is a long time coming for me,” said Bonsanto. “For more than a decade, I collected little recordings of ideas in the hope that one day they’d be useful. I could not be more proud of myself for how the album came out and for all of the things I have learned along the way.”

“As a musician performing in bands since I was 16, people who know me have seen me play a supportive role, and hear my musical contributions to my bands. But not everyone knows that I have always dreamed of releasing a record of my own. “While I’ve honed my songwriting abilities over the years, I began this project with zero knowledge of how to produce a record on my own. Born in 2012, NIBIRU emerged as the manifestation of a relentless process of spiritual and emotional knowledge. This journey involves every member of the band and shapes a creative approach that is both impetuous and deeply ritualistic. Their lyrical form blends enochian elements with Italian language. Their sound draws from post punk, darkwave, ambient, black metal and occult doom. The definition that best captures their essence is Ritualistic Occult Black Doom.

Across seven full length albums and one EP, NIBIRU have forged a distinctive and influential presence. Their acclaimed discography includes Caosgon and Netrayoni, originally self released and later reissued by Argonauta Records, followed by Padmalotus, Qaal Babalon with Argonauta Records, Salbrox with Ritual Production, and the more recent works Panspermia, Anamorphosis and the Teloch EP with Argonauta Records.

Nibiru’s milestones include sharing the stage with Oranssi Pazuzu, Uada, Nightstalker, Mortuary Drape and Mortiis. The band performed an extended eighty minute ritual at Roadburn Festival 2016, toured Europe with Enisum, appeared at Metalitalia Festival 2018, toured the UK including a noted performance at The Black Heart in London reviewed by Metal Hammer UK, and played at Church of Crow Doom Festival with Ahab in 2023 as well as headlining From Dust Till Doom Festival in Zurich the same year.

Their presence extends beyond the stage. NIBIRU took part in “Terror Tales: A Tribute to Death SS” released by Black Widow Records and in “Fiabe Bandite vol.1”. They appear in Stefano Cerati’s book I cento migliori dischi Stoner Heavy Psych, Eduardo Vitolo’s Children of Doom and in Corrado De Sio’s documentary Road to Roadburn.

Their audiovisual impact is equally significant. Videos for the Salbrox tracks Nanta, Efflatus and Exarp have collected strong attention online and continue to represent the visual essence of the band.

“H Y P Ó S T A S I S” represents a new chapter, a deep and visceral embodiment of the band’s ongoing exploration of inner awareness, corruptible and malignant. An album that expands their ritualistic vision and reinforces their unmistakable artistic identity.

HyperioN were formed in 2015 by drummer Jason Beghelli and guitarist Davide Cotti to play traditional heavy metal, drawing inspiration from bands such as Metal Church, early Queensrÿche, and Judas Priest, while adding their own personal touch.

The band quickly gained attention with their debut album Dangerous Days (2017), released via Spanish label Fighter Records. The album was warmly welcomed by critics and gave HyperioN the chance to share thestage with established Italian acts such as Tarchon Fist, Black Phantom, and Rain.

After the recording of the second album, founding drummer Jason Beghelli stepped down for personal reasons and was replaced by Francesco Madonna. In 2020, the band released Into The Maelstrom, again on Fighter Records. The album received excellent reviews worldwide, but the COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of all live promotion plans. Despite the circumstances, HyperioN significantly expanded their fanbase across the United States, Canada,

Mexico, and Europe through platforms like Bandcamp, finally returning to the stage in 2021.

This first era of the band came to a turning point in 2021, when several lineup changes reshaped HyperioN’s identity. Long-time bassist Antonio Scalia left the band, and after a long search Simone Cauli joined in September 2022. Just a week earlier, guitarist Luke Fortini had departed, but the vacant role was swiftly filled by Francis Dipasquale (from thrashers Dypron). With the lineup restored, work began on new material, only to face another setback in spring 2023 when vocalist Michelangelo Carano decided to leave.

After months of auditions, HyperioN found the missing piece in singer Max Morelli, known for his work with Signum Draconis and Ladykiller. With this new and revitalized lineup, Hyperion completed the writing and production of their third album Cybergenesis, a record that represents both continuity and rebirth. Although only guitarist Davide Cotti remains from the original formation, he has always been the main composer and driving force behind the band, making sure HyperioN's sound stays true to its roots: driving riffs that ignite into bursts of speed, soaring yet gritty vocals, and melodic hooks that make every chorus memorable.

Symphony of Destiny Unleash Debut Single “Exile of Horus” – Out Now!

Richmond, VA – November 29, 2025 – Richmond-based symphonic metal outfit Symphony of Destiny has officially released their debut single, “Exile of Horus.” Fusing powerful metal riffs with cinematic orchestration and mythological storytelling, the band is making their mark on the symphonic metal scene.

Formed earlier this year by guitarist and composer Wesley Eldridge, Symphony of Destiny combines epic orchestration with heavy, driving riffs for a sound that is as theatrical as it is powerful. Fronted by classically trained opera vocalist Anne Dueweke, the band balances metal aggression with dramatic vocal intensity. Keyboardist Tom Wright and drummer Patrick round out the lineup with progressive, hard rock, and industrial influences.

Since their debut in March 2025, Symphony of Destiny has performed across Central Virginia, including The Canal Club, Another Round Bar & Grill, Super Rad Arcade, and Fallout. Their first headlining show coincides with the single’s release on Nov 29 at Riffhouse Pub.
