Thirst of Faust is a Death Metal band all the way from Kolkata, India. Aiming to take the listeners on a sonic adventure through literature and periods, the band released "Mephisto" which marked the beginning of an epic interpretation of the ever famous tale of Faustus by Goethe. The upcoming single "Aftermath" dots the conclusion of the epiphany faced by Faustus from the perspective of the band, delving deep into a mind riddled with schizophrenia. "Aftermath" recreates the troubled mind through uncanny guitars and erratic vocals from the entire band.

Through their music, Thirst of Faust batters the listener both musically and lyrically, blast beats set the pace for epic lyrics presented in both guttural and clean fashion that focus on relatable situations. The band shares their process:

"After developing the frightening tale of the rise to power of Faust in "Mephisto", "Aftermath" depicts the downfall of our protagonist in physical, emotional and mental aspects. Each song acts as a chapter in our musical story. The lyrics represent personal events and emotions and then we wrap these experiences through our eerie music".

From the morbid purgatory that lies between the edge of sanity and the shores of madness comes the furious, brutal death metal of Sijjeel. Hatched in the desert sands of Saudi Arabia nearly a decade ago, the eyes of Sijjeel soon turned to Europe to find the warped souls that could complete the three-headed beast. Floor Van Kuijk (Carnifloor, Focal Dystonia, Korpse etc) and Lukas Kaminski (Stillbirth, Placenta Powerfist etc) were chosen to join with Hussain Akbar and bring forth disease, destruction and death. Following on from the dire warnings of the 2020 EP Cyclopean Megaliths, Sijjeel are now ready to unleash the hell of Salvation Within Insanity – a crushing assault laced with an arcane poison, a force of bone-breaking intensity wrapped in a cloak of nightmares. From the imperious, breathtaking power of ‘Isolation Behind Unrealism’, through the wild, tortured landscapes of ‘Climbing Into The Abyss’ to the cataclysmic technicalities of album closer ‘Inflection To Thee Smut’ this album is a hellbound tour de force of terror. Mind warping riffs and skin flaying savagery rage like a napalm fuelled firestorm leaving listeners broken, yet possessed by an evil hunger that has them begging to ride the winds of horror once again.

With Floor Van Kuijk in the line up there was no need to look elsewhere for mixing and mastering duties and the Dutchman has worked his black magic at GLDCHN Studios (Cystectomy, Anal Stabwound, Cadaverous etc) to incredible effect. The sheer power that radiates from every note of Salvation Within Insanity is utterly magnificent. The whole package has been completed to perfection by the haunting, horrifying artwork of Rudi Gorgingsuicide (Fleshless, Devangelic, Gorevent etc) – an image that will crawl inside your head and desecrate your memories. With the might of the world’s number one brutal death metal label, Comatose Music, behind them, the possessed spirits of Sijjeel cannot fail in their quest to plunge the world into madness. Bury The Kingdom attacks each toxic entity with stinging lyrics, delivered aggressively (courtesy of Vox), that are straight from the heart. The message is the most important ingredient to the band but the tracks are accompanied by unrelenting rhythms that move the messages forward and will have you banging your head!

In War, the song takes aim at the judicial systems. Too many corrupt judges, shady police officers, bribes and all-out deceit have taken over our system of checks and balances. Unfortunately there is a history of putting innocent people in prison all over the world so this song goes out to all of them. The message is clear and direct. They’ll bring the war straight to your face and they’ll never give up!

The Catholic Church gets the Bury The Kingdom treatment in The Unveiling. This song addresses the lies told by the church and the damage caused by literally hundreds of years of abuse. “That establishment has scarred more lives over its existence than probably any other known to man.”

Force Fed touches on the pharmaceutical companies that knowingly, and with no regard for human lives, allowed entire nations to become dependent on their drugs. Creating scores of drug addicts and deaths in their wake.

The group explain that; “Change needs to take place in multiple ways. It is time to stop turning away from the blatant greed and corruption that has made itself at home all over our planet. The masses have been lied to and manipulated by their governments, by different religions, by corporations and even from the very legal systems installed to protect the average law abiding citizen. The very same laws that were supposed to keep corruption in check have been desecrated.”

Bury The Kingdom stand for those that can not stand. They are a voice for the ones that have been shamed into silence. They are the self proclaimed fist that will strike out for those that have had their hands bound by oppression. Bury The Kingdom stand as a voice for the people. The old ways are done. Unleashing on July 15, 2022 the Glaswegian avant-garde black metal act presents challenging and abrasive musical textures in a progressive, black metal framework.  

ASHENSPIRE debuted in 2017 on Code666 records with Speak Not of the Laudanum Quandary, a critique of British Imperialism. The new album Hostile Architecture is a commentary on the widening of the inconceivably vast wealth gap between capitalists and the working class, and growing alienation between one another. Musically the outfit create alluring and yet disturbing soundscapes which develop as the album progresses. Grounding the mood with intense dissonance and distortion, jazz influences and ethereal violin parts construct a stark contrast. The discomforting chaos emerges through contrapuntal melodies such as those used in "BÉTON BRUT". Manipulating dynamics amid tracks, and throughout Hostile Architecture, enhances the emotional anguish of ASHENSPIRE's powerful message. With an anguished tone, the unsettling vocal quartet in "HOW THE MIGHTY HAVE VISION" diverges significantly from the darker sounds that dominate elsewhere.

Gutricyde was initially brought to life by Bret Smith, an original member of the 90's era Texas Death Metal band: Embalmed. Starting out as a one-man Death Metal Project in 2019, the project has evolved. As of 2022 with a recent lineup change, Gutricyde is currently a 4-piece group consisting of Bret Smith on guitar, vocals and programing, Lance White, formerly of Gruesome Fate and Blast Wound on guitar and vocals, Dave Tillery formerly of Embalmed, Gruesome Fate and an active front man for comorbidity, as well as stage theatrics mascot Ray "Gutty" Mora (A.K.A - The Butcher). Converting a bedroom into a small recording studio in Fate, Texas, the writing process began to flow. Once a good foundation was built along with some of the first demo tracks released in January 2021, the project gained the attention from some local promoters through social media, and they started getting offers to open some shows. Through 2021 Gutricyde has written 13 new tracks, 11 of which are featured on a full-length EP self-titled "Gutricyde", released on Corpse Gristle Records in February of 2022.

In January of 2022, GUTRICYDE had a promising lineup change, bringing in Dave Tillery of Comorbidity and Embalmed on bass and moving Lance White to guitar. This was a welcomed change and has made a tremendous improvement on the band's efficiency and quality.

Tim 'Ripper' Owens is only one of the numerous guests on HELSOTT's newest album, “Will and The Witch.” The band's latest effort - mixed and mastered by J-F Dagenais (Kataklysm, Misery Index, Ex Deo) and featuring artwork by Felipe Machado Franco (Blind Guardian, Rhapsody, Gamma Ray) – is augmented by a who's who of heavy hitters. In addition to Owens, HELSOTT is joined on “Will and The Witch” by percussionist Vladimir Reshetnikov (Arkona, Imperial Age), guitarist/bassist Freddie Vidales (Ashes of Ares, Iced Earth), violinist Lethien (Elvenking), guitarist Kevin Storm (Heidevolk, Autumn, Fleetburner), guitarist Bjorn Friedrichsen (Withered Moon, Sanguineus) and Whistlin' Rick Storey.

HELSOTT's new album, “Will and The Witch,” is a concept record that tells a fictional story about how Billy The Kid became the fastest gunfighter in the wild west. The first taste of music from the new album was recently unleashed with a visualizer video for the title track, which can be viewed at https://youtu.be/Gok7aEiO1Ys. The band returns to its musical roots on their latest record with heavier thrash overtones and less orchestral work than their prior record, while catching listeners off-guard with new influences befitting of the album's theme. Thrash metal, power metal, and death metal all converge with acoustic campfire segments, Southern banjo and fiddle, and Native American-inspired hand drums and flutes. The end result is a record that is musically ambitious while remaining melodic, heavy, and true to the underlying sound of HELSOTT.

Since their formation, the California-based HELSOTT – whose name means “fatal illness” in Old Norse – has paid homage to pagan cultures, mythology, and history while keeping true to their American influences. The group's unique mix of folk metal, death metal, symphonic metal, thrash, classical and rock was first unveiled to the world with the 2012 release of their debut EP “Fólkvangr.” The band soon caught the attention of audiences on a larger scale during the 2013 Paganfest North American tour, where they performed with Ensiferum, Tyr and Trollfest. That tour set the stage for the 2014 release of “Woven,” which was supported with tours alongside Arkona and Heidevolk.

In the years since the original release of “Woven,” HELSOTT signed with M-Theory Audio, released another EP (2017’s “The Healer”) and a second full-length (2018’s “Slaves and Gods”) and logged many touring miles worldwide with artists including Korpiklaani, Arkona, I Am Morbid, Necrophagia, Tengger Cavalry, Ashes of Ares, Felix Martin, Skyforger and Finsterforst. In addition, the band performed at major European festivals such as Wacken Open Air and Cernunnos Pagan Fest. “Woven” was also remixed, remastered, and re-released by M-Theory Audio in November 2020 in celebration of the group's 10th anniversary.

This year will not just see the release of HELSOTT's new album, “Will and The Witch,” but will also see the band's return to the live stage. American fans along the West Coast will get an opportunity in June 2022 to experience the band's power live with performances alongside Philadelphia’s Malphas. Helsott have also been confirmed to play England's HRH Vikings 2022, with more to come throughout 2022.
