TIME CONSUMED RELEASE "LONG NIGHT OF SILENCE"

For over a decade, Matt Krogen has been playing guitar and attempting to form a band, but finding long-term commitment from others proved challenging. With a deep interest in all rock and metal subgenres, a passion for doom metal emerged after discovering a 24/7 doom metal channel on YouTube. The song "Where Suns Turn to Grey" by Veil Of Conspiracy profoundly influenced him, inspiring the writing of lyrics and self-teaching piano.

Krogen managed to secure assistance for vocals and album art, financing the album's production. He has released a hard rock album titled "Die Royal" and is currently working on a power-metal project called Melting Kandle. Additionally, he is awaiting the publication of his first sci-fi novel. As a multifaceted artist, Krogen continues to search for his place in the world.

The EP has a variety of sounds, combining doom and death metal in a simple yet engaging way that will keep people listening. The lyrics deal mostly with spirituality, including the death of a loved one and the end of time. 

The EP's digital release date is on October 11, 2024

DREADMASK SIGNS WITH WORMHOLEDEATH RECORDS

International death metal band Dreadmask has signed with WormHoleDeath to release their debut EP, "Thy Prime Dread", which was originally planned for self-release on October 1st. The official release date has now been changed to November 1st.

"We're thrilled to announce our new collaboration with WormHoleDeath, one of the leading distribution companies in the metal scene! This partnership marks a huge step for DREADMASK, and we can't wait to share our music worldwide" - says the band.

In early 2023, a spark ignited the flames of Dreadmask, a melodic death metal band based in Eindhoven, with members originating from Greece, Hungary, and The Netherlands.

Fuelled by their shared passion for meaningful heavy music, Dreadmask wasted no time in making their mark on the scene. After each member had taken a break from previous bands, it was John Kourentas, Elger van Delft and Antonis Mougiakakos who initiated the band's first incarnation. When Zoltán Herczog came aboard in the summer of 2023, the group was settled.

Dreadmask, derived from the fusion of 'dread' and 'mask,' embodies the essence of fear and concealment. While 'dread' signifies the haunting grip of anxiety, 'mask' alludes to the veils we arise to shield our vulnerabilities. On the journey of playing the game of societal norms, we encounter our 'Prime Dread'—our deepest fears.

Each member of Dreadmask brings their unique musical influences to the forefront, encompassing Swedish death metal riffs, growling vocals, soaring melodies, progressive metal’s nuances, and black metal-inspired melancholy.

"The Inquisition takes the listener into the middle of an emotionally painful scene. The storyteller has had to hide the truth at all costs, because its revelation could lead to disastrous consequences. However, the moment of reckoning inexorably approaches the narrator, who has resigned herself to her fate.

The Inquisition was the first song recorded for the upcoming Dead Among the Living album. In a way, it showcases many elements that are typical with this band's music. There are historical references in the lyrics, and the mood of the song foreshadows very dark scenarios."

BIOGRAPHY:

Autumn's Grief takes the listener on a journey through the sorrowful and cinematic metal music landscape filled with beautiful piano melodies, dark and heavy guitars, robust bass and mournful vocals. Founded in 2021 and originated from Finland, Autumn's Grief has released two full albums, The Dead Don't Smile (2021) and Dead By The Dawn (2022). The third album, Dead Among The Living will be the ending album of the band's Dead-trilogy.
