KING´S HAMMER RELEASE NEW SINGLE: "BREATHING NEW LIFE"

PRESS RELEASE:

Back in February of this year Chuck Weatherman released The Color Of The Soul, the debut full length album from his solo death metal project, King's Hammer. Following on from the fierce 2025 EP, To Speak In Tongues, The Color Of The Soul cemented King's Hammer's reputation for delivering raw, powerful, confrontational death metal with its own unique character. The critical response to The Color Of The Soul was overwhelmingly positive with Heaven's Metal Magazine describing it as "a fury of death metal that leaves you begging for more". Now Weatherman is wielding the King's Hammer once more and a new single of unmistakeable, unvarnished ferocity has been unleashed - 'Breathing New Life'. A juddering monster of a track that features a typically domineering vocal performance from Weatherman, mixing bludgeoning beats and wicked harmonic interjections, 'Breathing New Life' builds to a furious, frantic conclusion. The single is available now via Bandcamp and on all major streaming platforms courtesy of Rottweiler Records and Broken Curfew Records, so be ready for the first signs of new life from King's Hammer!

HELGRIND SIGN WITH TIME TO KILL RECORDS

PRESS RELEASE:

British thrash metal crew HELGRIND have signed with Time To Kill Records for the release of their new album, "Shadows of Souls".

Featuring ten new tracks, the record captures a band shaped by decades of experience both in the studio and on stages across the UK and Europe, delivering a focused, hard-hitting take on thrash metal. Its tracklist alternates between high-speed assaults and more elaborate compositions, with a notably bleak atmosphere reflecting the troubled times we live in. Meticulous riff work and seasoned performances drive the album, drawing on the classic traditions of American and German thrash while injecting leaner, more direct passages with a punk-inspired edge.

"Shadows of Souls" marks the next chapter in a career that began in 2000 and has seen HELGRIND steadily build their reputation through releases and relentless touring.

Further details about the album, including its release date and first audio previews, will be announced in the coming weeks.

Biography:

Formed in the UK in 2000, HELGRIND emerged during a period when thrash metal was losing ground in the mainstream, developing an aggressive, punk-inflected take on the genre that helped them establish a loyal following across the British and European underground. After several years of live performances, the band released their debut album, "Denial", in 2005, laying the foundations for a career built on relentless riffing, uncompromising energy and a strong connection with their audience.

The group continued to refine their sound with the "Fallen Prophet" EP in 2007 and the second full-length, "Religious Persecution", in 2008, introducing melodic and clean guitar passages alongside their thrash metal foundations. Their third album, "Inquisition", followed in 2010, while "Insurrection", written in 2015, was eventually released in 2021 through Metal Rocka Records after a lengthy delay caused by label disagreements.

Extensive touring has remained central to HELGRIND's history, taking them across the UK and continental Europe through festival appearances and headline shows. Despite the interruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and a serious accident that required vocalist Paula Nelson to relearn how to walk, the band returned to the stage in 2022 and continued to build momentum. In 2024, they recorded their fourth studio album, "Shadows of Souls", a ten-track collection conceived as a fast, heavy and unrelenting statement. New material was road-tested in Germany, Austria and the UK in 2025 and 2026, as the band prepared for their next chapter.

Simon James Ellis - Lead Guitar

Rob Stedman-Lloyd – Lead Guitar

SAARKOTH RELEASE "TERRA MORTUA"

PRESS RELEASE:

Staffordshire Black Metal Outfit Expands Its Sound While Exploring Environmental Destruction, Death, and Humanity’s Impact on Nature

STAFFORDSHIRE, ENGLAND | English black metal band Saarkoth will release their third full-length album, Terra Mortua , on December 4, 2026. The self-released record marks another chapter in the band's nearly decade-long evolution, pushing beyond familiar black metal foundations while retaining the dark atmosphere and uncompromising themes that have defined their sound.

Formed in 2016, Saarkoth began as a two-man project and has since developed into a five-piece lineup. Over the years, the band has built a catalog exploring the darker relationship between humanity, nature, and the world we inhabit.

With Terra Mortua , Saarkoth expand their sonic approach by weaving a broader range of influences into their established black metal sound. The result reflects a band continuing to evolve without abandoning the lyrical and atmospheric foundations that have shaped its identity.

The album explores environmental disaster, death, mental health, and mankind's destructive impact on the natural world. These themes build upon ideas present throughout the band's previous releases, presenting a bleak examination of humanity's relationship with its surroundings.

Speaking about the album, the band explains:

"With Terra Mortua, we've taken a riffier approach while maintaining the atmosphere and melodies of our signature black metal sound. Each member of our new lineup has firmly put their own stamp on each song to create our proudest work to date."

The album's development follows a period of renewed activity for the band. Saarkoth released their debut full-length, Jera , in 2018 through Morning Star Heathens Music Group, followed by the Follow the Cult EP and their second full-length, Cult of Nature , both released in 2020. After a hiatus following the pandemic, the band solidified its current lineup and returned to the live circuit in 2023, beginning work on what would become Terra Mortua .

The album's campaign began with the release of "Scribes of Death" on July 19, 2026 , showcasing a noticeable step forward in songwriting and production. The second single, "Condemned to Damnation," released October 18, 2026 , offering another glimpse into the band's expanding musical direction.

Featuring seven tracks, Terra Mortua brings together the band's evolving influences and recurring lyrical concerns in a record that examines destruction, mortality, and the consequences of humanity's actions.

ABHORIA RELEASE NEW SINGLE & VIDEO: "AMBITION AND DELUSION"

PRESS RELEASE:

Dystopian black‑metal stewards Abhoria return with “Ambition and Delusion,” a blistering new single and music video to kick off October USA Southwest tour with Colorado folk‑doom conjurers Velnias. The track offers the first glimpse into Abhoria’s forthcoming third album, slated for 2027 via Black Lion Records.

“Ambition and Delusion” expands Abhoria’s signature fusion of bleak black‑metal aggression and death‑metal intensity, while introducing a more progressive edge. The song surges from mid‑paced dissonance into tremolo‑picked chaos and full‑blast fury, punctuated by an unexpected steel‑guitar interlude performed by vocalist Ben Pitts, a rare flourish in black metal that sets the stage for the track’s soaring melodic solo.

Lyrically, the single explores the psyche of James Gordon Bennett, Jr., the eccentric publishing magnate infamous for scandalous behavior, reckless ambition, and the disastrous North Pole expedition he sponsored. Presented from Bennett’s own perspective, the song examines his desperate desire to transform public embarrassment into heroism, driven not by altruism, but by ego, entitlement, and delusion.

For the music video, Abhoria again collaborated with director Hunter Lamar of Digital Myle, who previously helmed the band’s 2024 visual for “The Well.” The new video blends intense performance footage with stylized vignettes of Bennett portrayed in the aesthetic of classic silent cinema, complete with title cards and era‑appropriate framing.

Guitarist/songwriter Trevor Portz cites inspiration from seeing He Who Gets Slapped (Lon Chaney) at Old Town Music Hall in El Segundo, CA, noting that the silent‑film approach “captured the perfect atmosphere for Bennett’s fractured worldview.”

“Ambition and Delusion” was mixed by Herbrand Larsen at Conclave and Earshot Studios and mastered by Tony Lindgren at Fascination Street Studios.

“We’re so excited to hit the road with our friends in Velnias! These will be the first shows in the Southwest, and we’re looking forward to debuting songs from our forthcoming album alongside older material. It promises to be an evening of extreme metal overindulgence!” adds Abhoria's Trevor Portz.

Emerging from the Rocky Mountains of Nederland, Colorado, Velnias took shape in 2006 under the vision of Andrew Scherer and Petras Vaznelis. Each performance carries a deep atmospheric pull, marked by meditative weight and a primordial, immersive presence that sets them apart from other extreme‑music acts.

THRASH MOB RELEASE "HATE, RAGE AND A WHOLE LOTTA KILLIN´"

PRESS RELEASE:

THRASH MOB – HATE, RAGE AND A WHOLE LOTTA KILLIN’ EP

LABEL: INDEPENDENT RELEASE

RELEASE DATE: NOVEMBER 20th 2026

Hailing from the West Midlands region of the UK, Thrash Mob are a brand-new face on the thrash metal underground. Despite only making their live debut in January of this year, the five piece have already appeared at the Bloodstock Festival and supported the likes of irrepressible Aussies King Parrot and British thrash institution Solitary. With their live performances picking up rave reviews from respected media sources like The Moshville Times and The Razor’s Edge, Thrash Mob have decided that the time is right to unleash their debut EP, a five song feast of exuberant energy and ferocious thrash that goes by the name of Hate, Rage And A Whole Lotta Killin’!

‘Justice Is Done’ gets things underway with its crisp, biting guitars delivering a measured, methodical crunch to accompany the ultra-aggressive vocals. Eschewing the obvious route of wild, flailing speed this opening track makes sure that every riff counts and lands with bone breaking force. Next up, ‘Tortured Beyond Death’ brings a dark edge to the atmosphere and the vocals reach throat-ripping levels of intensity before a sweetly constructed and ruthlessly executed guitar solo tears through the heart of the song like a scythe. ‘Written In Blood’ follows in initially foreboding fashion before exploding into a frantic, furious attack – a timely injection of rabid velocity. But this song has a lot more to say, growing into something of a multifaceted epic. It’s left to ‘The Executioner’ with its tumbling guitar motifs, menacing melody, grinding riffs and massive bass presence to lead us into the final straight, where ‘Bring The Purge’ awaits. A climactic conclusion, ‘Bring The Purge’ combines ringing chords and doom-tinged chugs with an old school speed metal feel and some flesh-ripping riffs – headbanging is mandatory! Hate, Rage And A Whole Lotta Killin’ is an accomplished and effective first fusillade that sees Thrash Mob hurtling towards the top table of UK thrash. Their incredible rise through the ranks is seemingly unstoppable!

Produced and mixed by the band’s own Alfie Bennett, Hate, Rage And A Whole Lotta Killin’ sounds compact and uncluttered, confrontational and aggressive without descending into chaos - every snarl, burst of rapid-fire guitar and rhythm section rumble is there to be savoured. Adorned in some superbly evocative fantasy artwork courtesy of Apocalyptic Nuke at Bleak Thy Dismal Grafik (Enforcer, Crystal Viper, Total Invasion etc) Hate, Rage And A Whole Lotta Killin’ will be unleashed on November 20th – be ready to face ‘The Executioner’!

I HELVETE RELEASE NEW SINGLE: "PÄÄTÖSMATKA"

PRESS RELEASE:

i Helvete’s third album is getting closer while the release date is set to 6th of November 2026. The band has released the third and last single from the upcoming album "Halla". Combining melodic black and death metal, i Helvete’s new song "Päätösmatka" includes various instruments like violin, piano and vibraphone but also a massive choir in the choruses.

The album’s first single Nälkätalvi was selected as one of Metal Hammer’s Tracks of the Week alongside 11 other songs.

"Halla is a theme album about old times when surviving against nature was a daily life struggle. Halla is a Finnish word and lazily translated means "frost". It is a phenomenon, but in Finnish mythology it is also a fairytale character that destroys the fields with its coldness. All the single and album covers draw inspiration from the works of the Finnish painter Hugo Simberg (1873-1917), whose art also inspired us in our songwriting and composition process.” The band comments.

Finnish melodic black/death metal band i Helvete will release their third album, "Halla", on November 6th, 2026. The self-released album will be available digitally.

"Halla" brings together the atmospheric side of i Helvete with the intensity that has remained central to the band's black metal roots. Across six tracks, the album makes use of a broader range of instruments, with session musicians also contributing to the recordings.

The material itself was completed in 2024, but line-up changes during that year delayed the production process. The finished record now arrives as the band's third full-length.

The album was recorded by i Helvete and mixed and mastered by Jari Prinkkilä.

OMNIKOLOSS RELEASE NEW SINGLE: "OMNISYNDROM ALPHA 17"

PRESS RELEASE:

With black metal at its core, OMNIKOLOSS delves further into electronic music, analogue synthesis, ambient and industrial sounds in the third studio album Quantum Fleshdrive. Across the track list, acoustic drums and guitars collide with programmed beats, field recordings and layers of synthesizers including the Moog Sub 37, Korg MS-20, Polysix, Minimoog and Juno-60. Quantum Fleshdrive will arrive on December 4, 2026, via Unholy Conspiracy Deathwork. The first single, "Omnisyndrom Alpha 17," is available now.

https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/omnikoloss/omnisyndrom-alpha-17-edit

The narrative of "Omnisyndrom Alpha 17" questions the existence and autonomy of two nameless humans. One is trapped in a life reduced to maintenance: work, consume, recover, return, while the second appears to live beyond this system with apparent freedom.

"Human one is imprisoned by material reality; Human two is imprisoned by perception." OMNIKOLOSS explain. "The overworld could be a protected class, a simulation, a religious illusion, a digital heaven or even the final dream produced by an exhausted brain before collapse. The world below may be hell, but the world above may only be a beautifully rendered interface hiding the same machine. One person knows they are trapped. The other has forgotten what a trap looks like."

"Omnisyndrom Alpha 17" erupts with intensity combining furious blast beats with an immersive atmosphere and an electronic march. The band's dedication to worldbuilding is shown through field recordings made around small lakes and moors including frogs and the surrounding night sounds. The electronic march is built around a sample from Tetsuo: The Iron Man.

The world behind the album takes its influence from body horror, cyberpunk and dark science fiction such as Tetsuo: The Iron Man, Akira and Blade Runner. Flesh and technology are no longer opposites. Machines move into the body, voices enter the mind, reality becomes unstable and the distinction between human and artificial slowly disappears.

Quantum Fleshdrive was produced and mixed by David Feistel at Cave Sustain, and mastered by Markus Stock at Klangschmiede Studio E. Cover artwork by Karmazid, with additional layout by Johnny Doe.

Quantum Fleshdrive will be released on 12-inch vinyl: 150 x Hypnotoad Green; 100 x Fleshdrive Red. The limited edition consists of 20 special sets with Fleshdrive Red vinyl, an exclusive DIY cassette and an OMNIKOLOSS pin.

About OMNIKOLOSS:

With black metal as their foundation, the band began in 2020 with an intense writing session between Tobias Norbinski (DER ROTE MILAN) and David Feistel (STELLAR MASTER ELITE). SURVIOLENCE (CAPTAIN CAVEMEN) joined shortly after, and these initial compositions laid the groundwork for what would become OMNIKOLOSS. The addition of vocalist Khonan completed the line up and the band's focus on creating an extreme sound that is unafraid to venture further into experimental and atmospheric realms.

Electronic music, ambient, synthwave, industrial, analogue synthesis and soundtrack influences became a key component for OMNIKOLOSS. Atmosphere and thematic concepts behind the music are just as important as traditional song structures in their writing.

OMNIKOLOSS released Wandering Through Concrete Valleys through Unholy Conspiracy Deathwork in 2023, selling out its vinyl edition. コンクリートの谷を彷徨って II released as one 26:53 composition in 2025, also via Unholy Conspiracy Deathwork, alongside a handcrafted VHS box which sold out shortly after its launch. Now in 2026, OMNIKOLOSS prepare to unveil their third sonic offering.

Quantum Fleshdrive goes somewhere else.

Technology is no longer just part of the environment.

It has entered the body.

The music itself was created through the same process OMNIKOLOSS has followed from the beginning. Recordings sit next to spontaneous performances, deliberately written passages, electronic manipulation and acoustic material. Where something was recorded matters much less than what happens when these elements are put together.

Quantum Fleshdrive is not an attempt to make Black Metal sound futuristic.

It comes from a place where the distinction no longer matters.

OMNIKOLOSS Is:

Surviolence - Drums / electronic beats / additional vocals

David Feistel - Bass, synthesizers, additional guitars, sampling, production

FIR BOLG RELEASE "TRISKELION"

PRESS RELEASE:

French Celtic black metal band Fir Bolg will release their new album "Triskelion" on November 27th, 2026 through Schwarzdorn Production. The album will be available digitally, on CD and LP.

Founded by Dagoth in Nice, southern France, in 2006, Fir Bolg have developed a form of black metal rooted in Celtic mythology, pagan traditions and ancestral tales. The band's name itself refers to the Fir Bolg, an ancient people associated with the earliest ages of Ireland.

"Triskelion" opens a new chapter for the band, taking the dark and visceral character of their earlier material into a more organic and immersive direction. Guitars are joined by ancient instruments, traditional percussion and tribal textures, giving the record a stronger ritualistic atmosphere.

Fir Bolg's first material appeared with the 2008 demo "Paganism", later reissued by Schwarzdorn Production in 2010. Drummer Abaddon joined that same year and later took part in the band's first full-length, "Towards Ancestral Lands", released in 2013. Written and composed by Dagoth, that album established the combination of black metal, traditional instrumentation and tribal sounds that would become central to Fir Bolg.

Following "Towards Ancestral Lands", the band played extensively in France and elsewhere in Europe, including shows alongside Negura Bunget and Otargos. Bassist Femto joined in 2019, completing the line-up that entered Drak'hard Studio in spring 2025 to record "Triskelion".

MACOCHA RELEASE "PALE HEART"

PRESS RELEASE:

MACOCHA – PALE HEART

LABEL: INDEPENDENT RELEASE

RELEASE DATE: OCTOBER 23rd 2026

Formed in the spring of 2022 in Blansko in the Czech Republic, Macocha (pronounced ‘ma-tso-kha’ and named after the deepest abyss in central Europe) released their self-titled debut album in 2024. Right from the beginning they were focussed on following their own path, forging their own identity and not giving a damn if that made it hard for people to file them under some convenient genre definition. Their music is fierce, dark, impassioned and angry…vivid, vibrant, aflame with emotion and punishingly heavy. They draw on whatever sounds are needed to bring their songs to life – from black metal, from hardcore, from death metal, sludge, doom – there are no boundaries or limitations for Macocha. And now they have returned with their second album; another descent into darkness delivered in their inimitable style, pushing further, digging deeper – harder, heavier, more hauntingly melodic, more emotionally honest, raw and bloody. This is Pale Heart…

“Let me face the darkness, one final time…”

- ‘Till The Darkness Takes Me’ - Macocha

After a momentary held breath of feedback Pale Heart explodes into life with ‘Idiocracy’s raging power and blackened fury. But ‘Idiocracy’ is never content to remain a single faceted creation as it settles into a slow grinding, HM2 powered riff, then segues into a vein of richly melodic melancholy. There’s hammering heaviness, irresistible hooks, undeniable darkness, weight, force, grit and attitude. ‘Idiocracy’ morphs and transforms, progresses in whatever way it needs to tell its story and reveal its true self – setting the pattern for all that is yet to come. Each song has a unique character, from the rumbling darkness and insidious sense of threat that crawls through title track, ‘Pale Heart’, where the massive chords hit you like a physical blow, to the deep shadows and deeper despair of ‘Till The Darkness Takes Me’, a tale of nihilistic defiance in the burning ruins of the world, built with hardcore strength and attitude. ‘Here Be Lions’ is simply immense, with a stunning lyric from a father to his child. The honesty of emotion, that expression of desperate love, fear and self-doubt, gives the track a breathtaking raw power. Macocha bring incredible musicality to all their finely crafted songs, with that inherent sense of melody and structure never lost in the incendiary blaze of anger and intensity. When Pale Heart ends with ‘Requiem For The World’, a funeral procession that becomes an uncontrollable inferno with riff after riff erupting from the blackened soil, colliding and exploding, the impression it leaves is indelible. This is an album for these desperate times in which we live, an album that cannot, must not, be ignored. You will encounter few albums as real and vital as this in your lifetime.

“What have we done to each other and what have we done to the world?”

- Requiem For The World - Macocha

Recorded at the Kohlekeller Studio in Germany, with the band’s own Adam Rolny handling production duties, Pale Heart was then mixed by Kristian Kohlmannslehner (Aborted, Benighted, Crematory etc) and Daniel Claar (Agathodaimon, Cuttered Flesh, Cytotoxin etc), with Kohlmannslehner also taking charge of the mastering. The result of this collaborative effort is an album that sounds utterly enveloping – trapping the listener in its desolate kingdom of destruction and consuming them. Pale Heart will be released on vinyl, cassette and digital formats on October 23rd.
