Hill of Crosses came together in 2015 and have spent the last few years writing and recording
material for their 2019 release "Monuments to Defiance".
Regarding the band itself, there is a contrast between the darkness of the name and the somewhat up beat melodies and rhythms. It makes a statement like "yes, we're probably doomed but there's no point in being unhappy about it."
