One wrong turn became two, became three...and now the road is a long way behind; a lifetime away. Here, now, there is only the heat and the shadows, the ropes and nooses of moss hanging from the trees that cluster together like conspiring thieves and the thick, phlegmy, sniggering from the undergrowth. Fear squirms in your gut like snakes of ice and under the rising tide of panic and the unbidden tears which run freely down your face, tributaries merging with the smears of mud, the streams of sweat and blood, there’s the cold, hard certainty that you’re never going home...

Two-piece UK murder machine Slob were formed back in 2013, but it’s only now that they are finally ready to uncover the rotten corpse of their debut album, Deepwoods Shack Of Sodomy. Beneath the damp soil Ross Honour (Guitar) and James Murphy (Guitar/Vocals/Drum Programming) have been concealing a multitude of sins which Comatose Music have finally coaxed them into revealing. A chilling, repugnant collection of sordid paeans to despicable acts and depraved indulgences, this is an album of unbridled savagery that will test the mettle of even the most hardcore of brutal death metal devotees. An onslaught of blast beats and animalistic vocal exhortations, swamped in the filthiest riffs imaginable and littered with sound bites and samples that will make your skin crawl. Heavier than an avalanche of body parts, tracks like ‘Wrong Turn’ rupture and violate, leaving your steaming entrails in a stinking heap at your feet. If you’re not prepared for a skull shattering assault of utter sickness then just keep walking and mind your business, this one ain’t for you.

Deepwoods Shack Of Sodomy will be infecting the world with its madness from March 4th, dressed in the unmistakeable artwork of Jon Zig, known for bringing the nightmares of Defeated Sanity, Dying Fetus, Kraanium, Suffocation and many more to bleeding, suppurating life.
