Originally formed in 2007, as a sole dungeon synth project, Of Ancient Names released a self titled demo later the same year.

After a long hiatus OAN has returned with the latest release 'The Greatest Keep' featuring Borthuk on all instruments and guest vocalist Duumvir on vocals.

A grim-spirited, cavernous, cold stone ambience pervades this raw, malevolent black metal. Like a sceptre of a lonely isle, wandering the damp chill of a deserted fortress; doomed to an eternity of ghostly anguish and torturous reverie, to wander the memories of great victories and revelry echoing through the aged walls.
