This is the inaugural demo of Bastard Sword, a doom band from Athens, Greece. It consists of two chapters.
Chapter one (THE OUTTAKES), includes two early demos for tracks intended for our upcoming album. For various reasons, they did not end up in the album, but the demos are in pretty good shape. We still love both of them, so here they are, for your (dubious) ear pleasure.
Chapter two, is a set of raw live recordings of three tracks from our upcoming debut album (coming out in April 2023 via Sound Effect Records). On December 23, 2022, right before the holiday season went full swing, the band met in Feedback Studios in Pangrati, Athens to live for the very first time.
At that point, we had not even played a gig together, so this was kind of a big deal to us.
Dime St helped us set up and let us play as loud as we wanted (which is very). The result is the three noisy, rowdy and vibrant tracks in this demo. They were rudimentary mixed, with no edits, comps or overdubs, in the hope that the real experience we felt in that studio is still there for you. We dubbed this session PANGRATIC LIFE COMPLETE, as it was the first real milestone we achieved as a band (and we just can't resist a Sleep reference)
