"Detest Ye Vile Christian Men" is a parody of the English folk carol "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen". "Wreck the Halls" is a parody of the Welsh folk carol "Deck the Halls", based on English lyrics written by Thomas Oliphant in 1862.
