PRESS RELEASE:
Tanork is an old-school death metal band from Rennes that was formed in 2020. It's made up of 2 17-year-olds from Diwan, Eflam on vocals and guitar and Melaine on bass and vocals, as the band had not yet found a drummer, they performed live with a drum machine until now.
The lyrics are mostly written in Breton and a little in English, as Tanork seeks to defend its Breton culture and identity, which is increasingly being sidelined these days. The lyrics are often political and protesting about various subjects such as animal overexploitation, the atrocities of war, the horrors of colonization etc....
Our influences are multiple: Sepultura for the groove and power, Death for the sound and speed, Morbid Angel for the heaviness and Suffocation for the brutal side that the band tries to bring.
