Spawned on the Day the Earth Stood Still (aka the Covid era—clever, huh?), Coffin Feeder is an unholy union of seasoned veterans from the Belgian metal and hardcore scenes.
This ferocious collective brings together members of Aborted, Leng Tch’e, When Plagues Collide, and Fleddy Melculy, forming a high-octane blend of groove-driven death metal, grind, and hardcore. Despite hailing from the same small country, the band members come from three distinct regions of Belgium, each speaking their own dialect. This linguistic chaos means the group resorts to plain English to communicate—a task as heavy as their riffs (and far heavier than a sumo on cheat day).
Since their explosive inception in 2021, Coffin Feeder has unleashed two brutal EPs—Stereo Homicide and Over the Top—and torn up stages across Europe. From sweaty clubs to massive festivals like Summer Breeze, Brutal Assault, Death Feast, Leperfest, and Antwerp Metalfest, their furious performances have built a devoted following. Now, with their fanbase growing steadily, the band is cranking it even further past Over the Top and heading into uncharted territory.
They’ve hit the studio to lay down 12 blistering tracks for their debut full-length album, drenched in a heady mix of grind, hardcore, and death metal, all wrapped in a loving homage to 80s and 90s action nostalgia. Think explosive grooves, relentless riffs, and tributes to the classics we all grew up on. If you didn’t, well—it’s time to catch up, nerds.
This relentless energy and undeniable swagger caught the begrudging attention of Listenable Records, who were dragged kicking and screaming into signing the band. The result?
