Norwegian death metal horde INSIDIOUS DISEASE, featuring current/former members from DIMMU BORGIR, MORGOTH, NILE, SUSPERIA and NAPALM DEATH, have announced their first album in a decade, "After Death," will be released on October 30thwith Nuclear Blast. Pre-orders are available now and the band has just unleashed a lyric video for a skull-crushing new track titled 'Betrayer.'

Commenting on the new track, vocalist Marc Grewe says, "'Betrayer' kicks in straight away and has a quite remarkable hookline and a riffing that kicks you right into the balls. We can’t wait to play that song live again, which we did already a couple of times, and even if fans didn’t know the song yet, it always got a great response and people freaked/moshed out to it! Lyrically, it deals with stuff everybody has experienced: Getting fucked over/ betrayed by people you actually once trusted/loved to the fullest... this can be girlfriends/boyfriends, bandmates, friends or even family... It was a good cathartic event for me when writing these lyrics... from that feeling of total disappointment into anger and finally to expressing it via a song, that channelled all those negativity into something positive!”

Sonically inducing a depraved and morbid condition of the mind, INSIDIOUS DISEASE will return in 2020 to present their second full length album. Freshly signed to Nuclear Blast Records, the band convenes to create a modern venture into classic death metal. Still in the early stages of existence with only their debut album “Shadowcast (2010)” preceding, INSIDIOUS DISEASE are ripe with a hellish energy that seeks to sear its way across the universe of heavy metal. “It’s not supposed to be re-inventing the wheel or anything, it’s just about finding a good groove that we feel comfortable with,” explains Silenoz.

JUNKWOLVZ RELEASE "STILL GOING DOWN"

JUNKWOLVZ is a band located in Athens, Greece. Their sound occupies the space between metal and hard rock and their purpose is to reawaken the rock 'n' roll element in metal music. With main influences such as Motorhead, Megadeth, Guns 'n' Roses and Rolling Stones the focus is to merge all these different angles into one coherent musical style. Their first incarnation was in late 2017 but, due to discord in the band's members at the time, they soon disbanded. The group truly began at 2019 when Panos (guitar, vocals) and Stefanos (drums) were joined by friend musicians Chris (guitar) and Manos (bass) who decided to help the two original members kickstart the band, without being in the band. After some cancelled 2020 shows due to the pandemic, Panos and Stef settled on using the quarantine to self-produce their first demo "Still Going Down" and at that time found guitarist Tasos who joined forces at once. So the current line-up consists of Panos (vocals,bass{for now}), Stef (drums) and Tasos (guitar) as a power trio, with a high likelihood of a forth member standing on the horizon.

Whether you call them a supergroup or not, the assemblage of top-tier established talent that comprises newcomers EVILYN is something to behold. Even within the fertile dissonant death/black metal ongoing wave, EVILYN is crafting music at a level few of their peers are.

Consisting of musicians known for their time in Coma Cluster Void, Fawn Limbs, and Thoren, Evilyn pooled all of their collective talents together to create their recent debut release, Inside Shells.

Inside Shells is a five-song offering centered around labyrinth-like compositions churned out in a largely under three-minute-long run-time.

EVILYN - Inside Shells will strongly appeal to fans of Portal, Deathspell Omega, Gorguts, old-school-style death metal influenced by Morbid Angel & Bloodbath, and “anything dissonant” according to the band.

Evilyn band statement regarding Inside Shells: “Evilyn got its start in 2017 as a collaboration between Jeanne Artemis Strieder of Coma Cluster Void and Anthony Lipari of Thoren. The goal was to create an old school style death metal record with more dissonance than you usually hear. While writing it took on a shape of its own, dark and haunting.

Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts, Jeanne had to take a step back to focus on other musical endeavors. Jeanne still had a massive impact on the record, by having a hand in arranging, mixing, album artwork, and filling in the rest of the line up with masters like Lee Fisher (Fawn Limbs, Alphanumeric, elinguis, ex-Psyopus) and Jim Hildebrandt (Human Beansauce).

The end result is a monstrous five-song EP that we are proud to present. Enjoy the filth.”

For over a decade, WARFECT have brought their blackened thrash metal to the hordes. Now, four years after the release of their previous full-length, Scavengers, the Swedish thrash metal three-piece hailing from Uddevalla are even more forceful and have announced their furious new offering, Spectre Of Devastation, out November 13. After recently signing with Napalm Records, WARFECT are now taking the next step with their fourth album by unveiling a true thrash metal engine.

The Swedish artillery of WARFECT strikes in the tradition of Kreator, Legion Of The Damned and old school American thrash metal and paves its way with driving blasts and smashing drums. Straight away, the first notes of “Pestilence” state clearly that this wrecking machine neither cares much about any compromises nor has it come to take prisoners!
