On Friday, October 8th Spectral Darkwave descended upon Hitchin’s Club 85; their mission to unleash the kaleidoscopic horror of their brand new album At Outer Dark upon their gathered disciples. On that special night the walls of reality were blown away and a glorious array of nightmares cascaded in – tales from beyond the stars and from the forgotten pages of history – all accompanied by a staggering barrage of superlative sonic fire power. Every moment of that ritual of magic, terror and mind warping ecstasy was captured and preserved for posterity. And now it is unveiled once more, under the banner of Live Fire Exorcise!

The release of At Outer Dark was a pivotal moment in the career of Spectral Darkwave. It represented not only the band’s return from six years of silence as they traversed the void, but a vast leap forward in their levels of musical achievement. The sheer excitement from both band and fans was palpable in Club 85, Spectral Darkwave’s hometown venue, as this new chapter of exploration and destruction was launched. The band played with a fierce determination and wicked energy as they discharged an explosive version of ‘A Toll Is Due’, the gargantuan monstrosity that is ‘The Last Red Hypergiant’ and their infamous hymn to war elephants and ancient battle, ‘The March Of Sses’; and the crowd howled their appreciation for every measured note. The purpose of a live album is to capture the thrill, the atmosphere and volume of a performance and with Live Fire Exorcise Spectral Darkwave have done that, with the glorious excess that is their trademark.

Live Fire Exorcise is the night of Spectral Darkwave’s rebirth, preserved forevermore; a night of history to be treasured and revisited at will – a window into memory for those who were there, a tantalising glimpse of possibilities for the rest. The essence of Spectral Darkwave’s wild fantasy and bludgeoning power is held within these songs. On June 30th climb aboard and ride with them on the razor’s edge of adrenalin, into the black maw of madness.

When it comes to contemporary thrash, there are few bands that can stand toe-to-toe with Germany's VULTURE. Establishing their status with 2016's Victim To The Blade EP and 2017's The Guillotine, then cementing their reputation with 2019's Ghastly Waves And Battered Graves, they returned last year with the mighty Dealin' Death, one of the most ruthless records the genre has seen. "Take all our key elements - fierce riffing, halftone-shifts, aggressive vocals, huge toms, changing dynamics, horror-synths and classical twin guitar harmonies and cast it in a mould, then you have 'Dealin' Death'," says guitarist Stefan Castevet.

Since everyone in the group has a professional background, the members recorded their respective parts in all necessary tranquility in their own home studios. The material was subsequently mixed by the experienced all-rounder Guaitoli, and master Meek did a great job for it in his Groove Factory Studios - it simply doesn't get any fresher and crisper than this.

Lovers of classic, emphatically noble Power Metal will experience goosebumps and flights of fancy at the same time while listening, because "Chapter VII - Evil Awakens" can simply do everything.

The latest offering from the doom quartet delivers fuzz laden groove rhythms, dynamic riffs, and a progressive twist. Shrouded in an all encompassing gloomy atmosphere, Only The Dead Know Our Secrets is a smorgasbord of delicious distortion and heavy genre fusion.  

MOSARA is a Phoenix, Arizona based doom band that was originally formed and active during the early 2000’s. In late 2018, founding vocalist/guitarist, Tony Gallegos (ENIRVA/TWINGIANT) reformed the band. The new members included guitarist Nikos Mixas (TWINGIANT), bassist Kristoffer Reynolds (BEIRA) and drummer John Quin (AUTHORITY ZERO/SECRETS OF LOST EMPIRES). MOSARA’s sound is a doom foundation that melds several different genres of heavy music to include stoner metal, classic/prog metal and atmospheric sludge.

In the fall of 2020, MOSARA started recording their first full-length, self-titled album. Mosara was recorded and mixed sans any recording software. The release was raw, authentic, and heartfelt. Mosara was released in May of 2021 via Transylvanian Recordings and was well received among several heavy music blogs and websites. The band’s brand of “atavistic doom” was what set MOSARA apart from all the other bands in its subgenre. 

In 2021, bassist Kristoffer Reynolds left MOSARA and was replaced by Christopher Burns (HEX VOLT/BRIGHT SUNSHINE). The band immediately began writing material for their sophomore effort. Tracking commenced in March of 2022 and the new album, Only The Dead Know Our Secrets, is expected to be self-released in the summer. The album will be released on both vinyl and digital formats with the vinyl edition featuring a secret track.
