"Fire Above Mountain Below," also incorporates traditional Colombian folk instruments like the Tiple, adding a distinctive cultural layer to Eshtadur’s music. The song tells the tale of a time long past when ancient mountain tribes lived in harmony with nature until Christianized settlers brought forth a dark chapter, displacing and even annihilating these tribes in pursuit of wealth and power.

At the core of Eshtadur's music lies a deep passion for poetry, mysticism, and the exploration of existence and cosmogony. Conceptually rooted in darkness, combining melodic and catchy elements that draw inspiration from a diverse range of musical genres, including Gothenburg death metal, black metal, and classical compositions They have had the honor of touring extensively in Europe and North America, playing alongside bands such as Cradle of Filth, Batushka, and Sepultura, and making an appearance at the revered 70000 tons of metal. AXIOMA RELEASE "PRIMAL DESCENT"

MetalSucks is currently streaming Primal Descent, the impending new EP from Ohio apocalyptic metal outfit, AXIOMA, in its scorching entirety. The premiere comes in advance of the EP’s official unveiling this Friday, November 3rd via Stained Glass Torments.

Formed in 2015 in Cleveland, Ohio as a studio project focused on dark-sounding compositions, AXIOMA is a sonic conjuring of dark nihilism featuring Cyril Blandino (Time Of Death, ex-Morgue), J. Meyers (Dark Worship, ex-Aureae Crucis), Aaron Dallison (Brain Tentacles, ex-Keelhaul), and Nick Amato (Atomic Witch). 2016 found the band self-producing their debut EP Opia which was released on Tartarus Records in Europe. After establishing themselves as a formidable live force, 2019 saw the release of their first full-length the vitriolic Crown on Translation Loss Records. With 2022 breeding the LP Sepsis again with Translation Loss.

Primal Descent was written in 2022 in the aftermath of obvious worldwide upheaval. Without delay from the release of Sepsis, the band decided to construct a new offering reflecting some of the immediate ideas that came about during these egocentric and apocalyptic times. After pre-production in the rehearsal space in Cleveland, March 2023 saw the band entering Bad Back Studios located in Bath with longtime AXIOMA engineer Dave Johnson (Midnight, Fistula). After a few vile sessions, Primal Descent was refined and ready to be unleashed, an ominous and darkly organic ride through an underworld of our own creation.

Writes MetalSucks of the release, “Only four tracks long, the dark themes span the depraved and the hopeless, taking on topics like human folly and uncontrollable technology. Throughout the songs on the album, AXIOMA keeps it heavy and creates a vibe for the entire release, but they also tell a cohesive story about the imminent downfall of humanity.”

The themes represented in Primal Descent's four dynamic tracks seep within the dark and nihilistic foundation that AXIOMA has constructed and is known for since their inception. "Spectre In the Code" could be processed as a warning of a conscious and feral Artificial Intelligence. "Pageantry Of Miscreants" touches upon the veil of idolatry and art, while something inherently more sinister lurks. EP closer, "Fellowship of Serpents," observes a prevailing all-inclusive yet grotesque culture withering upon its empty ideals.

The final tracks, "Severed From The Reborn Sun" and "Splitter" end the album with a dramatic tale as the protagonist attempts to destroy God. About HYLOXALUS:

Based out of Edmonton, Canada, HYLOXALUS initially grew from a handful of demos with intentions to explore a melodeath sound. Instead, soprano lead vocals were added and an array of styles bled into the mix. Having been operating as a studio project, 2021 saw HYLOXALUS take to the stage supporting RAVENOUS and the trio subsequently performed at Armstrong Metalfest (2022) and Hyperspace Metalfest (2023). The band's first two EPs, released in 2019 and 2021, were musically placed in the realms of 2000s euro power metal but with a moodier edge. STRIGAMPIRE ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM: "ALL TO DOMINATE"

Created in 2001 in Quebec, Canada, Strigampire has been recognized over the years for its eloquence and the energy coming out from each of its frantic live performances. Over two decades of hard work culminated last year when they entered the studio with producer Christian Donaldson (Cryptopsy) to record their highly anticipated third full-length album “All To Dominate”. The first look at the album is with the single “Liberty”, which addresses the psychological and emotional consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. Vocalist Steve DC explains:

“This song kicks off the album, brilliantly capturing the variety of moods that unfold through our melodies. Although precise labeling of metal styles and subgenres isn’t my forte, I would say it starts with a fast and thrashy riff, subtly guiding us towards powerful and rock-oriented sections, an evolution we increasingly incorporate into our songs. Then, a guitar solo in Johnny Dead’s style emerges, followed by a bridge that quickly returns us to the initial atmosphere, concluding with a warrior-like riff that urges one to wreak havoc all around!”

Earlier this year, after 3 years of no performances and adding new members, the band made a triumphant return to the stage and emerged Wacken Metal Battle Canada 2023 Champions garnering a spot at the legendary festival Wacken Open Air.

“All To Dominate” features 10 tracks, including 9 new original songs and one cover. Strigampire didn’t have a surplus of additional songs to include on the album, so they selected the ones with the most potential and worked diligently to complete them. The result is an album that is melancholic, unique, and powerful. It is recommended for fans of Dark Tranquillity, Children Of Bodom, Arch Enemy, and At The Gates.

As their first Single of their upcoming album `Fragements of the Ageless`, SKELETAL REMAINS released their new single “Void of Despair” that is being accompanied by a gloomy video directed by Dillon Vaughn.

“We are very proud to present our first single entitled ‘Void of Despair’! Inspired by the true horrors of the many men lost at sea, who after depleting all of their resources and food, turned to cannibalism for survival. We gave the old stories our own twist by having the crew set on a ship lost in the eternal void of deep space. The aggression and spastic riffs swirling throughout the song perfectly express the feeling to an endless losing battle of sanity and starvation, thus succumbing to their demise. Finnish blackened death metal band Progeny of Sun released their third single 'Courier' from the upcoming debut album 'Throne of Desolation'.  The album is set to be released on December 8th via Inverse Records.

The band comments: 

"Joni once woke Pepe up from his nap and excitedly said: "I made a song, but I don't remember how the riffs went." Pepe answered sleepily: "Add a couple of blast beats to it." Since the composition of the riffs was not fully memorized, Joni decided to add all the variations to the same song. Next, Niko gave his soul into the demo, but it was soon forgotten on the drawing board. Months later, the song was accidentally unearthed while making the album. There it was: a forgotten gem, exactly what was needed for the album. To this, the bassist, who was enjoying a beer, pointed out: "I've been talking to you guys about this song for months, and not until now you're noticing it." In rehearsals, Hauta watched the drummer who was enjoying himself too much, and demanded more double basses. Bass guitar was executed normally."
