Beginning with the crisp, accomplished assault of ‘Field Of Creams’, For Your Ass Only quickly demonstrates just how deadly serious the music behind its over the top song titles really is. The riffs are impeccable, the vocals beyond monstrous, the drumming superbly skilled and the tempo shifts from a mid-paced, bone splintering grind to insane, frenzied velocities navigated with a slick, deceptive nonchalance. ‘Lake Flaccid’ begins with a carefully selected quote from the film Lake Placid before unleashing a landslide of punishing heaviness, while ‘Sleepless On Cialis’ is the kind of groove heavy pit anthem, grotesquely adorned in spurts of wanton aggression, that is designed for live violence. From the crawling beast that is ‘The Gapes Of Wrath’ to the twisted insanity of ‘Jagged Little Penis’, For Your Ass Only is utterly relentless - reaching a cataclysmic climax with ‘Whores Of Perception’, where thick, pustulant riffs collide with a rhythm that’s as infected as it is infectious.
